The clock on the final day
The 2027 World Vaccine Congress Washington runs 8 to 11 March at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Pre-congress workshops hold Monday 8 March from 10:00 to 17:00. The main congress runs Tuesday 9 March through Thursday 11 March. The organiser prints the address as 801 Mt. Vernon Place NW. Events DC prints 801 Allen Y. Lew Place NW for the same building.
The organiser's FAQ prints the day clocks: 9:00 to 17:45 on Tuesday, 9:00 to 17:45 on Wednesday, and 9:00 to 15:00 on Thursday. The agenda grid's last Thursday block is a 14:20 closing keynote, "Reimagining public health infrastructure in the USA".
A delegate with a 16:00 departure from Reagan National leaves the hall at 15:00 with three hours and no desk. A day room covers those three hours.
How long the main days run
Tuesday 9 March opens at 8:59 with the welcome and carries a 16:50 keynote panel on One Health in Vaccines. Wednesday 10 March runs to 17:45, with 17:40 starts in the Clinical Trials track and the Vaccine Partnerships track.
The congress page carries 3,000+ attendees, 460+ speakers, 200+ exhibitors, 60+ start-ups, 16 tracks, 15 workshops and 2,500+ partnering meetings. A body line on the same page puts the exhibition at 300+ solution providers. The exhibition sits in Hall D on Level 2.
Seven District day rooms and their windows
Day-use rooms sell fixed windows. Rates below come from the Dayuse Washington carousel, read on 24 October 2026. Each price is the all-in day rate, and the room-only rate sits below it by the booking fee shown. Distances are straight-line from the convention centre pin at 38.9051269, -77.0229544.
AC Hotel Washington DC Convention Center, Mount Vernon Triangle, sits 0.22 miles out and sells $104 for the day at 08:00-14:00, 10:00-17:00 and 13:00-19:00, with a $99 room rate and a $5 fee. Five windows that cover 15:00 to 18:00
Five of the seven carry a window that starts at or before 15:00 and ends at or after 18:00. AC Hotel runs 13:00-19:00, the Beacon 14:00-20:00, Le Meridien 15:00-20:00, Sofitel 09:00-18:00 and Viceroy 14:00-21:00.
A 15:00 start puts a delegate at the closing keynote's front door and in the room by 15:20, with a shower and a bag drop before a 19:00 cab. A 19:00 checkout covers a laptop session and a 21:00 flight.
The morning side of the same Thursday
Remote workers in the convention district can take an earlier window and walk to the hall for the afternoon. Capital Hilton sells 07:00-13:00 at $116. AC Hotel sells 08:00-14:00 at $104. The Beacon sells 08:00-17:00 at $96. Melrose Georgetown sells 09:00-16:00 at $111. Viceroy sells 09:00-17:00 at $144.
A writer or analyst who needs a desk from 08:00 books one of those windows and reaches the hall by 13:00.
Transit, parking and connectivity
Green and Yellow line trains stop at Mt. Vernon Square/Convention Center, and the station entrances lead into the building. Events DC lists more than 3,000 parking spaces within a three-block radius, filled first-come. There is no public parking at the Convention Center. Complimentary Wi-Fi runs at 768 kBps upload and 768 kBps download.
That bandwidth carries email and a document sync. A shared-screen call needs the room connection.
Booking the slot
hotelSlots lists 103,857+ hotels across 46 states and sells four windows: morning 6am-12pm, afternoon 12pm-6pm, evening 6pm-12am and overnight 12am-6am. Its home page quotes day rates at 30-75% below the nightly rate at the same property, and its day-use page quotes 40-60%. It charges no booking fee and passes payment to the hotel. Its directory has no District of Columbia page, so the Washington rates in this piece come from Dayuse.
Thursday 11 March is a weekday afternoon in a convention district. The 13:00 and 14:00 windows at the two closest properties are the ones to hold.
On the calendar
The organiser's registration banner reads "Register - 55% Discount ENDS NOV 13". The congress runs 8-11 March 2027 at 801 Mt. Vernon Place NW, Washington, DC 20001. The Thursday close at 15:00 is the hour to plan a room around.
