Tuesday Is the Day the Floor Closes Early

Winter FancyFaire 2027 publishes three exhibit days at Moscone Center: Sunday, January 17 from 10 am to 4 pm; Monday, January 18 from 10 am to 4 pm; and Tuesday, January 19 from 10 am to 3 pm. The Specialty Food Association prints those hours in its Show Dates and Hours block, and repeats them on the event platform with the same footnote: all halls open at 9:30 am for buyer badges.

Tuesday is the shortest day of the run. The badge queue and the floor window are the two clocks in a single-day trip.

Badge Pick-Up Sets the Start of the Day

The Schedule at a Glance page fixes registration and badge pick-up in the Moscone Center Lobby: Saturday 8 am to 4 pm, Sunday 8 am to 4 pm, Monday 8 am to 4 pm, and Tuesday 8 am to 2 pm. Friday, January 15, adds an 8 am to 5 pm window before the floor opens. Buyer badge holders get the halls from 9:30 am, thirty minutes ahead of general exhibit access.

Winter FancyFaire is a trade-only event. The organiser states that it is not open to the public and that attendance is qualified by a company's primary business, with qualifying materials that may be requested again each year. Registration runs through the association's own registration page, and the published refund policy states that no refunds are issued for any reason, including cancellations and no-shows. Badge transfers to other shows or other individuals are not permitted.

What Tuesday Adds to the Floor

Two published sessions run alongside the exhibit hall on January 19: Pathfinder Stage programming from 10:30 am to 1 pm at Booth 3548, and Discovery Kitchen live chef demonstrations from 11 am to 1 pm at Booth 2074. A single-day reader therefore holds a continuous block from 9:30 am buyer access to the 3 pm close, with badge pick-up open from 8 am until 2 pm.

A One-Night Stay Around a One-Day Trip

Moscone Center sits at 747 Howard Street, 94103. Thirty-eight of the platform's 562 San Francisco directory properties carry that ZIP, so the closest inventory is concentrated in one district.

For overnight pricing, the organiser routes attendees through onPeak and calls it the only official hotel provider for the 2027 show, with discounted rates and no booking, change or cancellation fees, and a published note that the rates shown are the lowest available nightly rates for the night of 01/18/2027. It also warns that other companies offering hotel assistance are not endorsed and that agreements with them are not protected by event management.

The day-use alternative is priced per slot. hotelSlots publishes day rates at 30-75 percent below the nightly rate at the same hotel, free to use with no booking fees, and its San Francisco directory lists 562 properties.

Distance is the second half of the choice. Driving estimates from OpenStreetMap on 15 October 2026 place the InterContinental San Francisco at 888 Howard Street 0.2 miles from the center, Canopy by Hilton San Francisco SoMa 0.1 miles, YOTEL San Francisco and Hyatt Regency San Francisco Downtown SOMA 0.8 miles each, The Mosser Hotel and Hotel Zelos 0.9 miles each, and the San Francisco Marriott Marquis and Hotel Zetta 1.0 mile each.

Slot Math for a 3 pm Close

The platform sells four windows: Morning 6AM-12PM, Afternoon 12PM-6PM, Evening 6PM-12AM and Overnight 12AM-6AM, and describes a day-use room as typically six to eight hours without an overnight stay. Against a Tuesday that ends at 3 pm, the Afternoon slot is the direct match: it starts while the floor is open and runs three hours past the close, which covers a same-evening departure, a call block or a shower before the airport. The Morning slot suits a reader who lands early and wants a desk from 6 am before badge pick-up opens. The Overnight slot covers a pre-dawn arrival, and the Evening slot covers a late flight.

Tuesday badge pick-up closes at 2 pm, so a single-day reader arrives early enough to collect a badge before then.

Confirm Before Booking

Day rates and discount percentages move between reads. The platform's own guide states that Wi-Fi, a proper desk, gym access, pool access and parking can all vary by property, so ask the responding hotel what the room includes. Its pages also state that day-use inventory is limited by design, that the best slots at the best properties fill first, especially weekday afternoons, and that four states, FL, HI, IA and WA, restrict day-use bookings under state travel laws. California is not one of them.

Hold the Afternoon slot first, treat the one-night stay as the fallback if the trip runs past 6 pm, and recheck both rates against the organiser's own housing page before committing.
