Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla boards the Jose Gasparilla II, and the organiser times the Sail Away Celebration at Sparkman Wharf from 4:00 p.m. Local pediatric cancer survivors sail aboard. A 4 p.m. Saturday start leaves the morning open, and that open morning is where a day-use room earns its fee.
The only clock the organiser publishes
The Outbound Voyage page on gasparillapiratefest.com carries one clock time: 4:00 PM for the Sail Away Celebration at Sparkman Wharf. The page dates the event February 27, 2027.
It describes the Jose Gasparilla II as the world's only fully-rigged pirate ship and the sail as a run around Davis and Harbor Islands before the ship docks. The page carries no second clock for the sail or the dock. It carries no finish time and no admission price. Tickets route to Gasparillatreasures.com.

The shape of a Saturday that starts at four
A flight into Tampa landing at 9 or 10 a.m. leaves five to six hours before the celebration. Bags need a place to sit. A traveler working that morning needs a desk and a connection.
A hotel day-use room covers exactly that block. hotelSlots.org sells four slots: Morning 6AM-12PM, Afternoon 12PM-6PM, Evening 6PM-12AM and Overnight 12AM-6AM. The platform lets a guest book one slot or combine several for full-day coverage.
The hours a booking has to cover
The Morning slot alone ends four hours before the celebration. The Afternoon slot runs from noon to 6 p.m., which takes in the 4 p.m. start and two hours after it.
Morning plus Afternoon covers 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. That combination holds an early arrival, a working morning, a change of clothes and the dock, and it hands back six hours after the ship comes in.
What the Tampa cards publish
The dayuse.com Tampa page returned 14 priced cards on a 22 October 2026 read. Four of the fourteen sit downtown. Each displayed price includes the booking fee.
ALOFT Tampa Downtown runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at $116. The Westin Tampa Waterside runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at $138. Le Meridien Tampa, The Courthouse runs 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at $138. Hotel Flor Tampa Downtown runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at $148.
Set those windows against a 4 p.m. celebration. The 10-to-4 cards hand the key back at the hour the celebration begins. The Hotel Flor window covers one hour past it. The Le Meridien 2-to-8 slot starts two hours before the dock, ends four hours after, and gives up the morning.
No downtown Tampa card opens before 10 a.m. on this read. Five cards open at 8 a.m., and every one sits outside downtown: Quality Inn and Conference Center Tampa-Brandon at $66, Quality Inn and Suites Tampa near Fairgrounds and Casino at $71, Clarion Pointe Tampa-Brandon near Fairgrounds and Casino at $71, Sleep Inn near Busch Gardens at $100, and TownePlace Suites by Marriott Tampa Westshore/Airport at $139.
The city's hotel list puts ALOFT 0.6 miles from the Tampa Convention Center, The Westin Tampa Waterside 0.3 miles and Le Meridien 0.7 miles. Sparkman Wharf is a separate address from that building, so ask each property for its distance to 615 Channelside Drive.
Where the cash line falls
The organiser's FAQ answers one question about money on the ground. Asked whether there are any ATMs on the festival site, it reads: Since COVID-19, we have not had ATMs on-site. Carry a card, or arrive with cash in hand for the celebration.
Florida and the booking path
hotelSlots.org states its own limit in its FAQ: "A few states (FL, HI, IA, WA) restrict day-use bookings under state travel laws." Its Florida directory page answers 404.

What to reserve for this date
Land in the morning with a late flight home and book Morning plus Afternoon, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Stay local and book one of the 10-to-4 or 10-to-5 cards.
Want a room after the dock and book the Le Meridien 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. slot.
One item needs confirmation from the organiser. The page times a 4:00 p.m. celebration and publishes no finish, so no day slot can be sold as covering the end of the evening. Ask the venue for the close before the booking, and put February 27, 2027 on the calendar with the sail time still blank.
