The Florida Gun Show Tampa fills Expo Hall at the Florida State Fairgrounds on Dec. 5 and Dec. 6. Saturday runs 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Expo Hall carries 87,000+ square feet of exhibit space under 45-foot ceilings.
Tickets sell at the show only, at $15. Parking costs $10 online and $12 onsite, one entry per pass. The venue gives its nearest hotel partner, Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tampa Fairgrounds Casino, 0.2 miles and the line "directly across the street from the Florida State Fairgrounds."
Two show days, three windows that matter
Saturday opens at 9 a.m. and runs eight hours. Sunday opens at 10 a.m. and runs seven. Both close at 5 p.m.
The event page reads "All tickets must be purchased at the show. Tickets are not sold prior to the show date." Law enforcement officers in uniform enter free. An NRA member, veteran or military ticket takes $1 off with proof of ID at the ticket booth.
Firearms enter unloaded. Magazines and clips arrive empty and out of the gun. Loose ammunition stays home or in the vehicle. A security officer fits a plastic tie strap at the entrance, and the page states the strap stays on for the whole show.
Fourteen priced cards, and the closest hotel has none
The Tampa page of dayuse.com carried 14 cards with a price on 21 October 2026, from $60 to $175 before fees. Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tampa Fairgrounds Casino, the property the venue puts across the street, carries no card among them.
Clarion Pointe Tampa-Brandon Near Fairgrounds and Casino shows $65 a day, a $6 booking fee, $71 all in, against a $96 nightly rate. Its windows run 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Sunday runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The 10-to-5 window covers the whole day. The 8-to-2 window stops three hours short of the close.
What a vendor gets in the hall
The Expo Hall page lists 87,000+ square feet of exhibit space, 45-foot high ceilings, drive-through doors for load-in and load-out, renovated restrooms including family restrooms, eight flexible meeting rooms, two upgraded show offices, complimentary wifi throughout the building and utilities accessible through the floor and wall. Combined with the adjacent Entertainment Hall the footprint reads 138,000 square feet.
The event page carries none of those lines. A vendor who orders booth power asks the venue about the floor and wall connection the venue page describes. The event page publishes no exhibitor rate, no move-in window and no load-in hour.
Gate 1 and two other buildings that weekend
The event page reads US HWY 301 under Where to Enter. The venue gate table names Expo Hall at US Hwy 301 Entrance, Gate 1. The parking product repeats the direction, covers one entry and prices $10.
The same weekend fills two more buildings. The Tampa Sports Collectors Expo runs all three days in the Special Events Center, through MLK Blvd Entrance, Gate 3. The Showcase of Champions cheer competition takes the Entertainment Hall on Dec. 6, and its parking product names the Hwy 301 entrance.
What the day rate saves
At $71 all in against an $88 nightly rate, one Saturday room at Quality Inn & Suites near Fairgrounds saves $17 on the same card. A reader who drives in for Sunday and books the 10-to-5 window spends $71 on the room, $10 on parking in advance and $15 at the ticket booth. That total is $96 for the day.
hotelslots.org publishes 103,857+ hotels across 46 states and day rates 30 to 75 percent below the nightly rate. Booking through the platform carries no fee of its own, and the fee on each card above belongs to that listing. Its seller-of-travel page, last updated October 21, 2026, states that the platform cannot process hotel booking requests from residents of or for travel to Florida, Hawaii, Iowa or Washington.
One window covers a full show day at $71 all in. The reader who wants the room across the street books an overnight, because that property carries no day card.
