The 20th Annual National BBCB Summit runs from noon on Tuesday 2 March 2027 to 2 p.m. on Friday 5 March, at the Tampa Convention Center, 333 S Franklin St. The City of Tampa card carries both clock times, the venue address and the ZIP code 33602. The card prints Updated: 10/20/2026.
The card lists Event Status as Scheduled and Event Attendance Mode as In-Person. The Free/Open to the public field reads Yes. Its two tags read Learning and Development, and Awareness and Social Justice Events.
BBCB now reads Believe. Build. Complete. Become. The card describes theme-based workshops on contemporary issues for college students and practitioners. It prints two attendance figures: over 400 participants from over 150 educational institutions, and 800 community members.
Event Links names web.cvent.com. That link resolves to a page titled Archived Event - 19th Annual National BBCB Summit, dated 4 to 7 March 2026. No 2027 session grid sits behind it.
Four dates inside one envelope
The envelope runs 74 hours across four calendar dates. Tuesday holds the morning before the noon open. Wednesday and Thursday carry no published hour of their own. Friday closes at 2 p.m.
A practitioner who commutes into downtown needs a room for the two hours before Tuesday noon, then a room at the start of each later day. That interval is what a day-use block sells.
The room inventory the venue publishes
The facility page describes 600,000 square feet across four floors, a guest capacity of 17,000, 100+ local attractions and 16 minutes from the airport. The building sits along the Riverwalk.
The first floor holds Ballrooms A-D and Meeting Rooms 101-125, with a Franklin Street entrance from the garage and a Channel Entrance from Front Drive.
The second floor holds the Information Desk, East Registration, West Registration and the WaterView Lounge, plus an outdoor escalator landing with tables and chairs. That floor carries the Skywalk to the Embassy Suites.
The third floor holds East, West and Central Halls, the FedEx Business Center, a Starbucks coffee bar and Waterfront Meeting Rooms 302-309. The fourth floor holds Meeting Rooms 401-409 and Waterfront Meeting Rooms 412-419.
Free wifi where the workshops sit
Free Wi-Fi runs in all public areas and meeting rooms of the center, and outside at The Sail Plaza. Exhibitor internet in the Exhibit Halls carries a daily fee through SmartCity, the venue's in-house provider.
Four day cards downtown
The Dayuse Tampa page returned 14 priced properties on a 21 October 2026 read. Three carry Downtown in their city field.
Aloft Tampa Downtown at 100 W Kennedy Blvd reads $109 net and $116 with its $7 booking fee, against a $250 nightly rate. Its one window runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The venue hotel list places it 0.6 miles out.
Westin Tampa Waterside at 725 S Harbour Island Blvd reads $129 net and $138 with a $9 fee, against $330. Its one window runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The venue list places it 0.3 miles out.
Le Méridien Tampa, The Courthouse at 601 N Florida Ave reads $129 net and $138 with a $9 fee, against $305. Its one window runs 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. The venue list places it 0.7 miles out.
Hotel Flor Tampa Downtown, Tapestry Collection by Hilton reads $139 net and $148 with a $9 fee, against $240. Its window runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The venue list carries the property as The Floridan Palace Hotel at 905 N Florida Ave, 1 mile out.
Three hours the cards do not cover
No downtown card opens before 10 a.m. On Tuesday the summit opens at noon, so the earliest window holds two hours before the first session.
On Wednesday and Thursday a 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. block ends six hours before the day does. Hotel Flor runs one hour later. Le Méridien's 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. window is the only downtown card that runs into the evening.
Parking against the room rate
Front Drive at 333 S Franklin Street holds 36 metered spaces at $4 an hour, Monday to Sunday, 8 a.m. to midnight, with no overnight parking.
The Convention Center garage at 141 E Brorein Street holds 454 spaces, 11 ADA spaces, two electric vehicle chargers and a 6 foot 6 inch clearance. Its event rate runs $5.00 to $50.00, subject to the event. Its non-event rate runs $3 per hour with an $18 daily maximum.
What the platform states
hotelSlots sells four slots: morning 6 a.m. to noon, afternoon noon to 6 p.m., evening 6 p.m. to midnight, and overnight midnight to 6 a.m. Its home page states 103,857+ hotels across 46 states, rates 30 to 75 percent under the nightly rate, and $0 in fees, with the guest paying the hotel directly.
The same page FAQ states that Florida, Hawaii, Iowa and Washington restrict day-use bookings under state travel laws. A Tampa practitioner books the day room with the property direct.
The site directory returns HTTP 404 with a 2-byte body at /directory/tampa and at /directory/florida.
Every rate here comes from the 21 October 2026 read. Day rates move within a day.
Matching a window to a morning
For a Tuesday arrival, a 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. card covers the two hours before noon and the first four hours of the summit. For a call between workshops, the Le Méridien window opens at 2 p.m. and runs to 8 p.m.
Add the fee and the meter to the room rate before comparing two cards. A $109 card with a $7 fee and five meter hours at $4 an hour comes to $136.
