Cracker Country holds Christmas In The Country on Saturday, December 12, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event page prints the window as 12-12-2026 10:00am-4:00pm, and the venue calendar repeats it. Six hours covers a four-acre complex and 13 original buildings.
What the ticket covers
Admission runs $16 for adults 12 and up, $14 for seniors, $12 for students ages 6 to 11, and free for ages 0 to 5. Advanced ticket purchase is required. The page states that on-site ticket sales do not run, and that all sales are final.
The order form takes up to 25 tickets of each type.
The 13 buildings in six hours
The program lists seasonal decor, music and 19th-century traditions across the complex. Three keepsakes are part of the walk: salt dough ornaments, Christmas card ornaments and paper ornaments. Pioneer chores run as demonstrations, including butter churning and laundry on a washboard.
Three crafts carry a $2 charge: dip a beeswax candle, twist a rope, and dye with indigo. Beekeeping and honey demonstrations and pine needle basket weaving fill the rest of the schedule.
The Main Stage carries performances at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Two hours separate the start times, and the last set begins an hour before the close.
The General Store sells reproduction and historical items, toys, games, books and candy. It accepts cash and all major credit cards, and the proceeds support Cracker Country field trip programs.
Gate 2 and the parking products
The event page reads: Enter the Fairgrounds via MLK Parking Entrance and park near Gate 2. Parking runs $10 online and $12 onsite. The venue gate table lists Cracker Country at the MLK Blvd Entrance, Gate 2.
The parking portal lists three December 12 products. Fairgrounds Flea enters through the MLK entrance at $10.00. UFLY enters through US Hwy 301 at $10.00 general or $15.00 for a day pass. AAYA carries $10.00. No product carries this event name.
The $10 prepay runs through the parking link on the event page. Buy before the morning.
A second event at the same gate
The venue calendar puts Fairgrounds Flea in the Florida Center from noon to 6 p.m. the same day. The venue gate table lists the Florida Center at the MLK Blvd Entrance, Gate 2.
Two events share that gate. A car that arrives at 10 a.m. reaches the barrier two hours before the Flea opens.
The card with the same window
Clarion Pointe Tampa-Brandon Near Fairgrounds and Casino publishes a 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. window. The card reads $65 for the day with a $6 booking fee, $71 in total, against a $96 nightly rate. It lists free wifi, free parking, a fitness room, an outdoor pool and a business center.
Quality Inn & Suites Tampa near Fairgrounds and Casino publishes 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at $65 plus $6, $71, against $88 nightly. That window covers the event and an hour past the close.
Quality Inn and Conference Center Tampa-Brandon publishes 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at $60 plus $6, $66, against $87 nightly. That window ends an hour before the museum closes.
The Dayuse Tampa page carried 14 priced cards on October 21, 2026, from $60 to $175 before fees.
The hotel across the street
The venue trip planning page lists Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tampa Fairgrounds Casino at a distance of 0.2 miles, with the hotel line: We are directly across the street from the Florida State Fairgrounds. That page names no gate for the hotel. Gate 2 is the Cracker Country entrance on the venue gate table.
The property carries no day card in the Dayuse set. A daytime slot on December 12 is a call to the front desk, and the 0.2-mile field is the distance to quote.
The drive out on I-4
The venue directions page routes I-4 traffic to the MLK side. From Lakeland or Orlando on I-4 Westbound it reads: take exit #5 (Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.), turn left off the ramp, go past the Orient Road light, and turn left into The Fairgrounds entrance.
From Tampa or St. Pete/Clearwater via I-275 to I-4 Eastbound it reads: merge onto I-4 East via Exit 45B, take Exit #5 (Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd./SR 574 West), turn right off the ramp, go past the Orient Road light, and turn left into The Fairgrounds entrance.
A 4 p.m. close leaves the evening for the I-4 run.
The Florida rule
hotelSlots restricts day-use booking in four states. Its home-page FAQ reads: A few states (FL, HI, IA, WA) restrict day-use bookings under state travel laws.
/directory/florida and /directory/tampa both return HTTP 404.
A Tampa day room on December 12 is arranged with the property. Quote the 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. window, ask for the total with tax, and ask whether the room holds a 4 p.m. checkout.
