Fall SF Restaurant Week fills its ten days in the order the organiser predicts: weekends first. The dining window opens Friday, October 16, 2026 and closes Sunday, October 25. The kitchen count, the price points and the slot supply set how early a group has to move.
A Ten-Day Window, Friday to Sunday
The Golden Gate Restaurant Association organises Fall SF Restaurant Week. Participating kitchens serve prix-fixe menus at fixed price points across all ten days.
The association lists ten price points. Brunch or lunch menus with two or more items sit at $15, $25, $35 or $45. Dinner menus with three or more items sit at $30, $45, $60, $75 or $90. A kitchen may run a brunch or lunch menu and a dinner menu at the same time.
The roster carries 177 entries across 42 neighbourhood labels. Registration closed Monday, September 28, 2026, the same deadline the association set for menu and photo submissions.
Weekend Sittings Carry the Heavier Demand
The association tells kitchens that weekend demand is the heavier side of the week. Its restaurant FAQ states: "Data shows that many diners make their SF Restaurant Week reservations for the weekends."
The same page asks kitchens to hold one price through all ten days. A menu that disappears on Saturday generates confusion for diners who arrive expecting it. A kitchen that will not run the menu on a weekend is asked to contact every weekend reservation holder and say so.
Read that as a booking order. Secure a Saturday or Sunday sitting first. Friday October 16, Saturday October 17 and Sunday October 18 open the run, and Sunday October 25 closes it. The midweek dates hold their slots longer, so a Tuesday or Wednesday table is the easier request for a group that wants a specific price point.
Price Points to Ask For
Counted off the list, the middle of the ladder is crowded. Dinner at $75 appears on 46 entries, dinner at $45 on 45, dinner at $60 on 43 and lunch at $25 on 38.
The cheap end is thin. Eighteen entries list a $30 dinner, and six list a $15 brunch or lunch. A group hunting a low band competes for the smallest pool in the programme.
The top band is narrow too. Fifteen entries list a $90 dinner.
Booking Links and the Calls Behind Them
Of the 177 entries, 150 carry a booking link that opens a reservation page. The other 27 publish a website and nothing else, so the ask there is a phone call or a form on the restaurant's own site.
The association does not require a particular reservation platform. Its FAQ states that participation is open to any restaurant whether or not it uses one.
Service format varies the same way. One hundred seventy-three entries offer indoor dining, 81 offer outdoor dining, 31 offer takeout and 15 offer delivery. A group that needs a particular format should filter on it before it fixes the date.
The Day-Use Slot Around Two Sittings
A diner holding a lunch menu and a dinner menu on the same day has a gap between them. hotelSlots books a hotel room for that stretch. The platform opens four slot types: morning, afternoon, evening and overnight. Hotels list the hours in 3-hour, 6-hour or full-day blocks. The help centre places day-use hours between 8 AM and 6 PM, and notes that the exact window varies by property.
Day-use rates run below the overnight rate for the same room. The help centre puts the day-use rate at 40 to 60 percent under the overnight rate, and the platform's headline figure is up to 75 percent off nightly rates. Booking carries no fee.
Supply is finite, and the platform's own tips page carries the strategy. It points a guest at Tuesday through Thursday, when more rooms sit empty and more slots stay open. It tells a guest to book ahead for the wider choice of slots, and to check business hotels, whose rooms sit empty through the working day.
One limit applies to a San Francisco booking. hotelSlots serves the United States excluding California, Florida, Hawaii, Iowa and Washington, and it publishes the seller-of-travel requirement behind each exclusion. A reader planning a day-use slot around a Restaurant Week trip in the city books it on a later trip inside the covered states.
The platform's San Francisco directory carries 562 hotels with street addresses. Its national inventory runs at 103,857 properties.
What to Confirm Before You Reserve
Ask four things of each kitchen: the date, the price point, the party size and whether the menu runs that day. The association asks for consistent pricing through the ten days, and one call settles it.
Confirm the kitchen sits on the Fall roster first. The association's About page links the current list as the Spring 2026 participants and states the Fall 2026 list would be available October 2.
Questions on the programme go to ggra@ggra.org. Check the day rate again on the day you book.
