A three-day show with one early close
SEMICON West 2026 runs Tuesday, October 13 through Thursday, October 15 at Moscone Center, 747 Howard Street, San Francisco. The meeting room page puts the show's space in South Hall, Hall C and the North Hall Upper Lobby. SEMI describes the week as three days of technology showcases, strategic insights and collaboration on semiconductor design, manufacturing and materials.
Three pass types are on sale. The Expo Plus Pass covers the exhibits, the keynote presentations and the sessions on the expo floor stages. The Thought Leadership Pass adds the forums and symposiums. The All-In Pass adds VIP badge pickup, daily lunch and entry to the VIP Lounge. Monday, October 12 is the pre-show day, with SEMI U courses and the SEMI Market Symposium. Tuesday through Thursday carry CEO Summit keynotes, expo floor sessions and TechTALKS, with the APHI Forum, the Test Vision Symposium and the Cybersecurity Forum added Wednesday and Thursday.
SEMICON WestFest runs Tuesday, October 13, 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. in Moscone South, Level 300.
The Thursday floor shuts two hours early
The exhibitor schedule for SEMICON West, carried by SEMI on its Exhibitor Service Center and by the service contractor GES, sets the hours that decide the last day. The show floor is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, two hours shorter than the two days before it. Exhibitor move-out opens at 4 p.m. Thursday and runs to 8 p.m. that evening, then 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Carriers must be checked in by 5 p.m. Thursday, 2 p.m. Friday or 8 a.m. Saturday, and all exhibitor materials must be off the floor by 1 p.m. Saturday.
Move-in ran on the same grid: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, Friday, October 9 and Saturday, October 10, a dark day on Sunday, October 11 with no exhibitor move-in, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, October 12.
Where the room-night math breaks
A booth crew that clears its display inside the 4 to 8 p.m. window and holds a carrier to the 5 p.m. check-in has a night flight as the next fixed point on the calendar. That is the gap a day room fills. A hotel check-in after 4 p.m. and an airport run before sunrise bills a full night for a few hours of use.
hotelslots.org prices daytime inventory by the slot. Booking runs on four slots: Morning 6 a.m. to 12 p.m., Afternoon 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., Evening 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. and Overnight 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. The platform quotes day rates at 30 to 75 percent below the nightly rate at the same property, charges no booking fee, and states its network covers 46 states and more than 103,857 hotels.
For a Thursday move-out, the Evening slot opens at 6 p.m., an hour after the carrier check-in deadline, and covers the run to a late flight. The Afternoon slot covers a crew that finishes packing early and wants a desk, a shower and a quiet room before an evening departure.
San Francisco day rates
Dayuse listed a city average of US$119.61 for a day room in San Francisco on October 6, 2026. Its San Francisco listings that day, with the day rate, the discount against the overnight rate and the overnight rate, read:
The Mosser Hotel, from US$91 against a US$299 nightly rate, 70 percent off. Hotel Zelos San Francisco, from US$144 against US$399, 64 percent off. Hotel Zetta San Francisco, from US$152 against US$399, 62 percent off. Axiom Hotel, from US$122 against US$299, 60 percent off. Hotel Zeppelin San Francisco, from US$138 against US$399, 66 percent off. Hilton San Francisco Financial District, from US$116 against US$299, 62 percent off. Hotel Bijou, from US$85 against US$275, 70 percent off. Taj Campton Place, from US$159 against US$340, 54 percent off.
The hotelslots.org San Francisco directory read 562 hotels available on the same date.
Book ahead, because the late slots go first
hotelslots.org states that day-use inventory is limited by design, that a room can host only so many daytime slots in one day, and that the best slots at the best properties fill first, especially weekday afternoons. A Thursday decision made on the morning of the move-out is a late decision. The platform also tells readers to check what a daytime room includes before confirming, because Wi-Fi, a desk, gym access, pool access and parking vary by property.
The Mosser card states a five-minute walk to Moscone Convention Center and a three-minute walk to Powell Street BART. Rates and slots move, so recheck the property page before confirming.
The numbers to run the Thursday on are these. Doors at 10 a.m., floor closed at 4 p.m., move-out until 8 p.m., carriers checked in by 5 p.m., materials off the floor by 1 p.m. Saturday. A day room booked for the afternoon or the evening of October 15 absorbs the last of that schedule.
