The $25 lunch tier holds through the whole lunch service

Metropolitan Washington Restaurant Week prices its lunch tier at $25 or $35 per person. RAMW, the association that runs the promotion, requires every participating restaurant to serve the Restaurant Week menu during all normal hours of the service it registered. The menu runs from open to close of that service, for the whole promotion.

A guest who reaches the District at midday eats at the tier price. Lunch service runs to the restaurant's own lunch close, and the three-course menu stays on offer until that hour.

The tier is three courses of food

RAMW's published Rules & Standards define the menu. Each restaurant must offer a true three-course prix-fixe. A course counts as a distinct solid food item. Beverage flights and cocktails may be added as an upgrade, and a beverage cannot stand in for a food course.

The base tier protects the meal. A full three-course meal must be available entirely inside the base price, and a diner must not be forced into an upgrade to complete three courses. Promotional pricing excludes beverages unless the restaurant registers a designated pairing, and excludes gratuity and local sales tax.

Lunch sits at $25 and $35. Dinner sits at $40, $55 and $65. A restaurant prices each service it runs inside those tiers.

The lunch service carries no blackout window

Section 3 of the rules covers availability. The menu must reach all diners during all normal operating hours of the selected service, for the entire promotional week. RAMW prohibits restricting the menu to early-bird windows or specific seating times, and prohibits cutting the menu off during a peak hour.

The association states the rule in its own words: a restaurant open for dinner and registered for dinner serves the menu from open to close. The FAQ extends the same standard to the calendar, and participants offer the menu on all regular operating days for the full length of the promotion.

Compliance carries a stated penalty. RAMW's rules remove a non-compliant restaurant from the current campaign and disqualify it from future promotions. The program mailbox is rw@ramw.org and the number is (202) 331-5990.

Day rooms that cover the same hours

Dayuse listed 20 day rooms around Washington on 23 October 2026, seven of them inside the District. Each card price is the all-in figure, and the booking fee sits inside it. Each card sells a fixed window rather than a checkout hour, and the distances below are straight-line from the card's published coordinates to the convention center pin.

The AC Hotel Washington DC Convention Center asks $104 all-in for 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. or 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., 0.20 miles out. The Capital Hilton asks $116 all-in across 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at 0.70 miles. The Beacon Hotel & Corporate Headquarters asks $96 all-in across five windows that begin at 8, 8, 9, 10 and 2 o'clock, at 0.83 miles.

Le Meridien Washington, DC, The Madison asks $140 all-in for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. or 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., at 0.63 miles. The Sofitel Washington DC Lafayette Square asks $169 for one 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. window, at 0.67 miles. The Melrose Georgetown Hotel asks $111 all-in for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. or 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., at 1.59 miles. The Viceroy Washington DC asks $144 all-in for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or 2 p.m. to 9 p.m., at 0.58 miles.

The Hilton 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. window holds a room through a two o'clock lunch, and the Beacon 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. window adds two hours to that. The AC Hotel 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. window closes before a late lunch service ends.

The Auto Show takes the convention center from January 22

Washington.org lists the Washington, DC Auto Show for Jan. 22-31 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, 801 Allen Y. Lew Place NW, and calls it the region's largest annual indoor event. The show runs ten public days.

The organiser's own site reads "2027 Tickets On Sale Later This Year" and "Stay Tuned for Updates" as of 23 October 2026, so the 2027 admission prices and the 2027 daily hours are unpublished. The 2026 edition ran January 23 to February 1 on a noon to 9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays and noon to 8 p.m. Monday to Thursday, and the show floor entrance closed one hour before each closing time.

What the calendar leaves open

The RAMW Restaurant Week page reads "Returns January 2027" and publishes no dates. Its participant listing still carries the 2026 summer roster, and its sponsor block is headed "2026 Summer Restaurant Week Sponsors." Menus reach the public after RAMW reviews each uploaded PDF.

hotelslots.org publishes four slots: morning 6 a.m. to noon, afternoon noon to 6 p.m., evening 6 p.m. to midnight and overnight midnight to 6 a.m. The platform states that day-use rates run 30 to 75 percent below nightly rates, that it charges no booking fee, and that it covers 46 states. Its day-use page puts the range at 40 to 60 percent below overnight and includes pool, gym, Wi-Fi and shower access. Its directory has no District of Columbia page, and /directory/dc/washington returns a 404.

The figures for one midday trip: $25 or $35 for a three-course lunch that runs through the restaurant's own lunch hours, and $96 to $169 all-in for a District day room between 0.20 and 1.59 straight-line miles of the convention center.
