Friday Gives Nine Hours on the RV Show Floor

The 68th Annual Fall Portland Metro Dealers RV Show runs Nov. 12 to 15 at the Portland Expo Center, 2025 North Expo Road. The venue assigns Halls A, B, C, D and E to the run. Thursday, Friday and Saturday open at 10 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. Sunday opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 5 p.m.

Three days give nine hours on the floor. Sunday gives seven. Friday carries the full 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. window.

One site, five halls

All five halls sit on the single Expo Center site, off Interstate 5 at exit 306B northbound or exit 307 southbound. The venue lists curbside drop-off zones in front of each building. The halls read as one campus on the map and as separate buildings at the door.

The promoter lists five dealers across eight locations: Apache Camping Center in Happy Valley, Camping World in Hillsboro, Portland and Woodland, Washington, Curtis Trailers in Aloha and Portland, Johnson RV in Sandy, and RV Country in Tualatin.

What Sunday costs

Two hours. A 10 a.m. start on Sunday buys seven hours on the floor against nine on Friday. A dealer conversation that runs through the units, the trade appraisal and the paperwork belongs on Friday. A short call fits Sunday.

Lunch without leaving the halls

Levy holds the food and beverage contract for the venue. Truss & Table in Hall D1 carries sandwiches, hot dogs, pretzels, fries, beer and wine. Ironworks Kitchen in Hall E1 carries pizzas with beer and wine.

Two grab-and-go markets cover a short break. Foundry Market in Hall D2 stocks salads, sandwiches, snack boxes, ready-to-eat fruit and canned drinks. Green Heron Market in Hall E2 carries salads, artisan sandwiches and snack boxes.

Three rules come off the venue food page. Outside food and beverages are not allowed. Gift cards work at Levy locations only. Halls D and E are under renovation through 2026 and hours vary by event, so confirm a counter is open before routing a meeting around it.

The exhibitor lot pass

The venue sells a multi-day exhibitor parking pass in advance, and exhibitors hold in-and-out privileges through the day. For a dealer who needs a part, a brochure box or a second unit from the lot, that pass decides how the day runs.

Booth services go through the venue online ordering centre: electricity, internet, water fill, natural gas and AV equipment. Discounted rates require orders placed at least 21 days before the event. Late orders and day-of requests cost more on most services. Nov. 12 minus 21 days is Oct. 22.

The Expo Center does not manage booth sales. It directs exhibitors to the promoter, Portland Metro RV Dealers, at (360) 903-9839.

Parking, transit and the door

Parking typically runs $15 per car per entry, and the venue states that prices may vary during special events. Cash and major credit cards work at the parking facilities. Accessible spaces sit close to building entrances for vehicles with a DMV disability placard. The MAX Yellow Line stops at Expo Center station, a short walk from the entrance. Bike racks sit beside the MAX stop and outside Halls D and E, so bring a lock.

A room that covers Friday

hotelSlots sells day-use rooms in four slots: morning 6 a.m. to noon, afternoon noon to 6 p.m., evening 6 p.m. to midnight and overnight midnight to 6 a.m. The platform states that day rates typically run 30 to 75 per cent below the nightly rate, that it charges no booking fee, and that the guest pays the hotel directly for the slot.

The closest priced card to the Expo Center on the 20 October read belongs to the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Portland - Jantzen Beach, 2300 North Hayden Island Drive. The card reads $90 for the day against a $130 nightly rate, 31 per cent off, with a booking fee of up to $6 that shows as $96 all in. It offers three windows: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. The hotel sits 2.3 driving miles from the Expo lot, about seven minutes.

The 10-to-5 window is the match for a Friday. It opens with the doors, runs through the bulk of the hall day and ends two hours before the show does, so plan the last dealer conversations on the floor.

The next priced card sits 8.4 driving miles out at the Residence Inn Portland Airport at Cascade Station: $99 for the day against a $220 nightly rate, 56 per cent off, with a booking fee of up to $7 that shows as $106 all in, in one window from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. That window closes three hours before the show does. The Portland day-use listing carried 19 cards on the 20 October read.

What the pages do not publish

Admission price. The admissions row on the event page carries a Buy Tickets link and no figure, and the promoter site prints no admission price. Ask the venue at 503-736-5200 or the promoter before quoting a number.

Accessibility detail sits on the venue guide. Four complimentary manual wheelchairs go out first come, first served, from the Med Tech office in the Hall D or Hall E lobby. Mobility scooters may come from the show promoter. All-user restrooms are in the lobbies of Halls A, D and E, and Hall D has an elevator to the second-floor meeting room.

Book the Friday room before the discount window closes, order booth services 21 days out, and keep Sunday for the short list.
