Two Days, One 8 a.m. Door
The American Northwest - Portland - Nationals - DI/DII takes Hall D at the Oregon Convention Center on December 5 and 6. The venue card prints one clock twice: doors open at 8:00 a.m. on both days.
The venue's own event data runs the booking from 8:00 a.m. on December 5 to 8:00 p.m. on December 6. That is the hall hire. The competition schedule inside those hours is unpublished.
The Card Labels The Days For Another Season
Both door lines on the venue card read Sunday, 12/5 and Monday, 12/6. December 5, 2026 is a Saturday and December 6 is a Sunday. The ticket vendor prints Sat, Dec 5th, 2026, 8:00 AM to Sun, Dec 6th, 2026, 11:59 PM PST. Check the date before the weekday.
The December calendar for the building lists no other public event on either date.
Where The Hotel Night Ends
A one-night booking covers the hours between check-in and the checkout hour the property sets. Doors at 8 a.m. fit inside that on Saturday. The second afternoon does not. By mid-afternoon on Sunday the room is handed back and the bags stand in a lobby.
A day-use booking sells the hours. hotelSlots offers four slots: Morning 6AM-12PM, Afternoon 12PM-6PM, Evening 6PM-12AM and Overnight 12AM-6AM. A guest can combine slots for full-day coverage. Portland bookings carry no state day-use restriction; hotelSlots names Florida, Hawaii, Iowa and Washington as the four states where travel law restricts day-use sales.
What The Sunday Afternoon Window Covers
The Portland card set read on 19 October 2026 carries 19 priced properties. These are the windows that run from midday into the evening, with the day rate against the comparative nightly rate on the same card:
The Nines, 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., $159 against $450. Royal Sonesta Portland Downtown, 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., $107 against $170, and a second window from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the same rate. Kimpton Hotel Vintage, noon to 7 p.m., $135 against $230. Hotel Lucia, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., $118 against $219. Jupiter Original, 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., $89 against $150. Ramada by Wyndham Portland, 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., $91 against $200.
Straight-line distances from the doors at 777 NE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd run 0.42 miles to Jupiter Original, 0.90 to Royal Sonesta, 0.90 to Hotel Lucia, 0.92 to Kimpton Hotel Vintage and 0.96 to The Nines. The Ramada sits 4.82 straight-line and 6.51 road miles out.
Each card sells a slot window. No card in the set carries a check-in or checkout time. Booking fees run $5 to $10 across the set.
Bags After The Key Goes Back
The convention center rents short-term storage through LocketGo. The salmon-coloured lockers sit in the MLK Lobby near the main entrance, the Holladay Lobby at the north end of the building and the Ginkoberry Concourse at the south end. A guest reserves one with a mobile device and a credit card.
Complimentary Wi-Fi covers every lobby and meeting room. The paid tiers are $12 a day for Basic and $50 a day for Business Class, charged to a credit card.
The Guest Experience Marketplace sits next to the main welcome desk on the lobby level, across from the MLK entrance. It prints and copies free of charge on a self-serve cloud queue, black and white on 8.5 by 11 inch paper.
The building is cashless. Five ATMs serve Pre-Function A, B, C and E Lobby and the South Ginkoberry Concourse. A reverse ATM in the MLK Lobby loads cash onto a Visa card once, with no fee.
The Evening Flight
The convention center puts itself eight miles from Portland International Airport. The garage holds 800 spaces at $15 for up to 18 hours, with a dynamic $15 to $25 rate charged at entry during events. It opens at 6 a.m. Overnight parking is prohibited.
MAX light rail stops 300 times a day at the front door. The Streetcar A Loop runs every 15 minutes. 566 metered spaces sit within three blocks.
Tickets And The Door Hour
Tickets for the 2026 edition go on sale on Friday, November 20, 2026 at 7:00 a.m. PST. The vendor listing prints Sat, Dec 5th, 2026, 8:00 AM to Sun, Dec 6th, 2026, 11:59 PM PST.
A second listing for this event is still online. It prints Sat. Dec 6, 2025 and Sun. Dec 7, 2025 with a 7:00 a.m. door, and it tells visitors the event has already taken place. The venue card prints 8:00 a.m. for 2026. Confirm the door hour with the organiser before booking a morning arrival.
The venue card records that registration is required, and it reads children under 5 years old are free. The ticket page reads 5 years of age and under are free and need no ticket. Every ticketed person must be present at the admissions desk to collect a wristband. The event takes no cash.
Booking The Afternoon
hotelSlots is free to use and charges no booking fee. The guest pays the property directly. The platform states that day-use rates run 30 to 75 percent below the nightly rate at the same hotel, and that the network covers 46 states and 103,857 hotels.
For this weekend the request is a Sunday afternoon window at a downtown property inside a mile of the doors, sized against the flight time. The request takes a city, a date and a slot. Hotels answer with their own rate.
