The clock on the card

The Oregon Podiatric Medical Association meets October 22 to 24, 2026 in Oregon Ballroom 203-204 at the Oregon Convention Center, 777 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Portland, OR 97232. The venue calendar carries the dates, the room and a registration requirement. The daily hours sit on the association's physician program page.

Thursday October 22 runs 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM and carries 9.5 CECH. Friday October 23 repeats that window at the same 9.5 CECH. Saturday October 24 opens at 7:00 AM and stops at 1:45 PM for 6 CECH. The total is 25 CECH. Three 7am starts sit against two 6pm finishes, and the Saturday close is the early one.

Thirteen hours the program leaves open

Thirteen hours sit between the Thursday 6pm finish and the Friday 7am start. The same thirteen hours sit between Friday 6pm and Saturday 7am. The venue schedules nothing in that span.

Its own garage rules shape it. The underground garage generally opens at 6:00 AM and prohibits overnight parking, so a car cannot hold a desk through the night. The garage holds 800 spaces and charges $15 for up to 18 hours with no in and out privileges. A dynamic rate of $15 to $25 applies at entry during events, and the drive-through booths take cards only.

The block hotel is the short walk. OPMA reserves rooms at the Hyatt Regency Portland, 375 NE Holladay Street, at $139 per night plus tax under group code G-OPMA, by phone at 971-222-1234. The building sits about 240 metres from the hall on a straight line, across NE Holladay Street.

One deadline has already passed. The hotel page requires a reservation by September 30, 2026 to secure the discounted rate. Anyone booking now should ask whether $139 still holds.

Where the call happens

The convention center publishes its connectivity terms. Complimentary Wi-Fi service covers all lobbies and meeting rooms. Pay-as-you-go service runs $12 per day for Basic and $50 per day for Business Class, paid by credit card. LocketGo lockers sit in three places, the MLK Lobby, the Holladay Lobby and the Ginkoberry Concourse, and a phone and a credit card reserve one.

The building is cashless. Five ATMs serve it, and a reverse ATM in the MLK Lobby exchanges cash for a Visa card at no fee. MAX light rail stops 300 times a day at the front door. The Streetcar A Loop arrives every 15 minutes.

Priced against the $139

The day-use platform's Portland page states an average day-room price of $106.15, read on 18 October 2026. One live Portland card that day priced Hyatt Place Portland Airport/Cascade Station at $104 against a $229 nightly rate. That property sits 2.5 miles from Portland International Airport, on the airport side of the city.

A day room is bought as a window, and each property prints its own start and end time on the card. Read the start time against the 7:00 AM session and the end time against the 6:00 PM finish. A window that opens at 9am covers the second half of a conference day. A window that closes at 3pm leaves two sessions uncovered.

hotelSlots lists 278 hotels in Portland on its directory page. Three nights at $139 is $417 before tax, which sets the figure a day room has to beat on the nights it replaces.

What the window solves

The 6pm finish falls after a standard checkout. A booked window carries an attendee through the second half of a conference day without a second night. The Saturday 1:45 PM close falls inside a morning window and outside an afternoon one.

Oregon is not on the platform's restricted list. hotelSlots publishes 46 U.S. states and 103,857+ hotels, with FL, HI, IA and WA restricted under state travel laws, and day-use rates up to 75% below the nightly rate.

Order to book in

Call OPMA at 503-662-9220 for the program and the CECH record. Call the Hyatt Regency at 971-222-1234 and ask whether G-OPMA still prices at $139. Then pick the window for the finish it has to cover, and read the start time against the morning session before paying.
