A workshop day inside a three-day summit

The Military Additive Manufacturing Summit runs at the Tampa Convention Center, 333 S Franklin St, Tampa, FL 33602. The City of Tampa event card reads Tue, Jan 26 2027, 8am to Thu, Jan 28 2027, 4pm. Event Status reads Scheduled. Free/Open to the public reads Yes. Location reads West Hall, Meeting Rooms and Ballrooms.

The organiser splits the week. Defense Strategies Institute lists Main Conference and Exhibits on January 26-27 and Workshop Day on January 28. The site dates the summit January 26-28, 2027 in Tampa and calls it the 11th annual edition. The city card links to militaryam.com.

Workshop Day is a separate purchase

The registration page states that Workshop Day carries separate registration and is not included in main conference registration. The Workshop Day Add On costs $595 for industry and contractor delegates and $595 for non-profit, academia and FFRDC delegates, until January 22, 2027. Active-duty military and government delegates from outside the United States pay $199.

Main conference rates for industry and contractors run $1,090 to July 31, 2026, $1,190 to October 2, 2026, $1,390 to December 4, 2026 and $1,590 to January 22, 2027. Non-profit, academia and FFRDC rates run $790, $890, $990 and $1,090 on the same ladder. Active-duty military and government delegates register at no charge by email request.

Two tracks run on the workshop day. Metal AM Innovation Across Defense and Aerospace covers component production at the tactical edge, qualification for aerospace and defense, and production capacity. Qualification and Certification of Defense AM Parts covers standardisation, certification and methods such as data analytics, simulation and in-situ monitoring.

What the fee covers

The registration page lists a light continental breakfast each day, full lunches, mid-morning and afternoon breaks with refreshments, and access to all networking receptions.

The published clock

The city card gives one window across the three days: Tuesday 8 a.m. to Thursday 4 p.m. The organiser's attendee guide puts event check-in and registration at 6:45 a.m. on Tuesday, January 26 on the second floor, with the summit beginning at 8 a.m. The guide does not publish a Thursday start or finish.

A delegate who books a day room for the workshop day works from the Thursday 4 p.m. close on the city card and confirms the morning start with the organiser. The download page sends the agenda by email on request.

The downtown day set opens at 10 a.m.

No Downtown Tampa day card opens before 10 a.m. in the Dayuse set read on 21 Oct 2026.

Aloft Tampa Downtown runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Westin Tampa Waterside runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Hotel Flor Tampa Downtown, Tapestry Collection by Hilton at 905 N Florida Ave runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

A delegate who drives for the workshop day pays the event band. The venue publishes that band and leaves the figure to the event.

Exhibits and the hall

The city card places the summit in the West Hall, meeting rooms and ballrooms. The organiser names over 150 industry products and services on the exhibit floor and a MILAM 3D Printing Awards ceremony. The organiser dates exhibits to the main conference days.

Dress and conduct

The organiser asks speakers for a Class A uniform and business dress for civilians. Attendees are asked for duty uniform or business dress. A no-solicitation policy covers the event.

Florida restricts day-use booking

hotelslots.org states on its home page that Florida, Hawaii, Iowa and Washington restrict day-use bookings under state travel laws. The platform directory carries no Florida page: /directory/florida returns a 404 with a 2-byte body on 21 Oct 2026.

Reserve Tampa day rooms direct with the property. The platform publishes 30 to 75 percent off nightly on its home page and 40 to 60 percent on its day-use page.
