A park that opens after the workday ends
Sounds of Screams runs 7 p.m. to midnight at the Miami-Dade County Fair and Exposition grounds, 10901 SW 24th St, Miami. The ticket page dates the season as "Now - November 1st." The venue's own event record lists the run as Sep 24 - Nov 1, 2026. The home page bills the site as 13 Acres of Fear. One admission buys five haunted houses, scare zones, carnival rides, live entertainment and full park access.
The gate hours leave noon to 6 p.m. open. hotelSlots prices that window directly.
The slot that ends before the gate opens
hotelSlots sells four slots: Morning 6AM-12PM, Afternoon 12PM-6PM, Evening 6PM-12AM and Overnight 12AM-6AM. A guest books one slot or combines several for full-day coverage. The platform defines a day-use room as daytime hours, typically 6 to 8 hours, without an overnight stay. It reports day-use rates at 30-75 percent less than the nightly rate at the same hotel. Its day-use page gives a second band, 40 to 60 percent less than overnight.
The Afternoon slot fits this trip. It opens at noon and ends at 6 p.m., one hour before the first haunted house opens. The Evening slot covers the whole park night and closes at midnight with the park.
What the free child ticket changes
The ticket page carries three prices. Adult general admission is $42.17, broken out as $39.99 plus a $2.18 fee. Child general admission for ages 9 and under is $0.00. A season pass is $104.27, or $99.99 plus a $4.28 fee, with blackout dates of October 31 and November 1. The home page lists general admission at $44.99 and up and a Fast Pass at $99 with general admission included.
Two adults and two children aged 9 and under pay $84.34 at the gate for the night. That party pays one room rate for one day-use room during the afternoon. A day room is sold by the room and by the hour. The gate charge runs per adult head, so the daytime lodging decision stays a per-room decision.
Miami day rates on the 15 October 2026 read
Dayuse lists an average of $113.76 for a day room in Miami. Its Miami page carried 21 cards on 15 October 2026, and ten of those cards carry a Miami-Dade city line. Four of the ten publish a window that opens at or before noon and closes at 6 p.m. or later. Wyndham Garden Miami International Airport lists $85 against a $200 overnight rate, with windows from 8am to 2pm, 10am to 4pm and 10am to 7pm. Pullman Miami Airport lists $119 against $178.50 with a 10am to 6pm window. Element by Westin Miami International Airport lists $95 against $143 with 10am to 6pm and 2pm to 7pm windows. YVE Hotel Miami lists $86 against $220 with 10am to 6pm and 2pm to 8pm windows.

Florida sits on the restricted list
hotelSlots publishes 103,857+ hotels across 46 states with no booking fees. Its FAQ carries the line that governs this market: "A few states (FL, HI, IA, WA) restrict day-use bookings under state travel laws." The platform publishes no Florida directory page. Its Florida path returns a 404, and both directory sitemaps carry 89,872 addresses with no Florida record.
A Miami guest arranges the block with a property directly and confirms the state rule first.
What the night is worth
Engine publishes a Miami average of $191 a night across 3.9 million observations from May 2024 to April 2026. October averages $159 and November $176 on the same page. The Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau counted 575 hotels and 64,719 rooms in Miami-Dade County in its 13 January 2026 inventory file.
A $65 to $119 afternoon slot carries a small share of a trip built around a midnight close. The season pass blacks out October 31 and November 1, so the last two nights carry the heaviest demand and the thinnest same-day supply.
