Nine hours in Hall A, and ring times land on November 2

The NW Martial Arts Festival 2026 takes Hall A at the Oregon Convention Center on Saturday, November 7. The U.S. World Class Taekwondo Association runs it, and the organiser prints 8:00am to 5:00pm. The venue record books the hall from 7:00am to 8:00pm.

The floor carries the Kombat Taekwondo Championships beside forms, sparring, board breaking and demo team performances. Registration is open to all ages and belt levels.

The individual ring times do not exist yet. The championship outline states that the final tournament schedule is released on November 2, 2026, five days before the event. A parent planning a working day around one competitor's divisions holds nine hours and no clock for it until that document lands.

Four dates come first. Online registration closes at 11:59pm PST on October 30. The first event costs $130, each additional event $60, and a $50 late fee applies to entries paid between October 25 and October 30. Coach and media passes cost $100 online through October 24 and $150 after that, or $150 cash at the venue. Entry fees are nonrefundable.

What the building gives you between rings

Wi-Fi is complimentary in every lobby and meeting room at the OCC. Basic service costs $12 per day, Business Class $50 per day, paid by card, with support on site.

LocketGo lockers stand in the MLK Lobby near the main entrance, the Holladay Lobby at the north end and the Ginkoberry Concourse at the south end. The lockers are salmon-coloured, reserved with a mobile device and a credit card, and offered for short-term storage.

Cash needs a conversion step. The OCC takes credit and debit cards and touchless payment across its cafes, restaurants and parking garage. Five ATMs sit in the pre-function lobbies and on the south Ginkoberry Concourse. A reverse ATM down the short hallway left of the welcome desk in the MLK Lobby loads a Visa card from cash once, with no fee.

That step matters on November 7. The organiser sells spectator admission at $20, cash only, with infants free. Each competitor buys their own boards at the venue for $5 each, cash only, at the check-in desks.

The arithmetic on a room

A day-use room is a hotel room sold as its own product with its own clock, quoted in the listing. The rates below come from the Portland city page of the day-use platform, read at 22:23 UTC on October 18, 2026, in straight-line miles from 777 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd.

Jupiter Original, 0.43 miles, $89 against a $150 nightly rate, 45 percent lower, on 10am to 4pm and 5pm to 11pm. Jupiter Next, 0.44 miles, $123 against $209, 45 percent lower, on 10am to 4pm and 5pm to 10pm. Embassy Suites by Hilton Portland Downtown, 0.65 miles, $130.85 against $228.15, 47 percent lower, on 9am to 5pm. Staypineapple Hotel Rose, 0.85 miles, $112 against $450, 77 percent lower, on 8am to 2pm and 10am to 5pm. Royal Sonesta Portland Downtown, 0.86 miles, $107 against $170, 42 percent lower, on five windows including 7am to 2pm and 9am to 9pm. Hotel Lucia, 0.87 miles, $118 against $219, 50 percent lower, on 8am to noon, 8am to 3pm and 1pm to 5pm. Kimpton Hotel Vintage, 0.88 miles, $135 against $230, 46 percent lower, on 8am to 2pm, 10am to 5pm and noon to 7pm. The Nines, 0.92 miles, $159 against $450, 67 percent lower, on 8am to 4pm, 10am to 6pm, 11am to 7pm and 1pm to 9pm. Hyatt Centric Downtown Portland, 1.07 miles, $106 against $200, 51 percent lower, on 8am to 3pm and 10am to 5pm.

Six cards open at 8am or earlier: Royal Sonesta at 7am, and Staypineapple, Hotel Lucia, Kimpton, The Nines and Hyatt Centric at 8am. Royal Sonesta's 7am window closes at 2pm, and its 9am to 9pm window opens an hour after the first competition block. A family that wants a private room across the full 8am to 5pm span books two windows, or takes Embassy Suites on 9am to 5pm and leaves the first hour to the lobby.

Nine hotels across the street publish no rate

Nine directory members sit inside 0.51 straight-line miles of the doors, measured from the same address: Inn at the Convention Center at 0.20, Hyatt Regency Portland at 0.22, Motel 6 at 0.22, Hotel Eastlund at 0.23, KEX Hotel at 0.25, Quality Inn Downtown Convention Center at 0.33, Courtyard by Marriott Portland Downtown/Convention Center at 0.38, DoubleTree by Hilton Portland at 0.43 and Crowne Plaza Hotel at 0.44.

None of the nine posts a day rate on the day-use platform. The Portland directory lists 278 properties, prices none of them, and collects a request for each hotel to answer. The priced cards above sit in a separate set downtown and on the east side.

Parking, and a second event in the building

The garage holds 800 spaces and opens at 6:00am. Entry costs $15 for up to 18 hours with no in-and-out privileges, and a dynamic rate of $15 to $25 applies at garage entry on event days. Overnight parking is prohibited, and the garage reaches capacity on busy days.

November 7 is one of them. The Oddities and Curiosities Expo runs in Halls C-D-E on November 7 and 8, so two public shows share the building and the garage. MAX stops 300 times a day near the front door, and the Portland Streetcar A Loop arrives at NE MLK and Hoyt every 15 minutes.

A guest who parks at 7:30am and leaves at 5pm sits inside the 18-hour band. A guest who drives out at lunch and returns pays a second entry.
