Jump Dance Convention holds the Oregon Ballroom at the Oregon Convention Center from March 5 to 7, 2027. The venue calendar carries the date and the room. The organiser's Portland page carries an update dated 9 October 2026: the competition is sold out, and the waitlist runs through info@jumptour.com.
The One-Day Product
Jump sells a single day of the workshop. Its workshop page reads: "One-day participants can register for the One-Day Workshop for Saturday OR Sunday." The page recommends Saturday, because the Sunday classes often continue what Saturday started.
Two limits travel with that ticket. A dancer registered for competition must take the full weekend, so a one-day entry covers the workshop alone. One-day participants are not eligible for any scholarship.
Saturday runs registration 6:30 to 8:00 a.m., a Welcome Show 7:30 to 8:00 a.m., classes 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., then competition 3:00 to 11:30 p.m. Sunday runs classes 8:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., then the Closing Show and Scholarship Awards 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. The Portland workshop schedule appears one week before the event.
The Friday Window
Friday carries the longest day. Registration runs 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., solo and duo/trio competition may fall between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., competition runs 3:30 to 11:00 p.m., and optional master classes run 6:00 to 10:00 p.m.
One line governs the travel plan. "Friday night classes and events are only held in select cities." The Portland page does not confirm them for this weekend. Treat the 6 to 10 p.m. block as the tour template and book nothing around it until the schedule lands.
Where the Working Day Fits
The building supplies the desk. Complimentary Wi-Fi covers all lobbies and meeting rooms. The paid tier is $12 per day for Basic service and $50 per day for Business Class, charged to a credit card, with support on site.
The Guest Experience Marketplace sits next to the main welcome desk on the lobby level, across from the MLK entrance. Self-serve cloud printing and copying run free in black and white on 8.5 by 11 inch paper.
LocketGo rents salmon-coloured lockers in the MLK Lobby, the Holladay Lobby and the Ginkoberry Concourse. The LocketGo booking portal lists a one-day rental at $12.00 with tax included, in medium, large and extra-large.
Five ATMs stand in the Pre-Function lobbies and the South Ginkoberry Concourse. A Reverse ATM left of the MLK welcome desk swaps cash for a Visa card at no fee. Jump runs a cashless Jump Store and Info Desk, so bring the card.
The Garage and the 18-Hour Cap
The underground garage holds 800 spaces. Up to 18 hours costs $15 with no in-and-out privilege. Event entry carries a dynamic $15 to $25. The garage opens at 6:00 a.m. Overnight parking is prohibited. Clearance is 7 feet on P1 and 9 feet on P2. The booths take cards only.
A 6:30 a.m. arrival and a 10 p.m. finish is 15.5 hours inside one $15 payment. A Saturday that ends at 11:30 p.m. runs 17 hours and still fits. A midday drive out spends the payment and starts a second one.
The Day Room, Priced
hotelslots.org books day-use rooms in four slots: morning, afternoon, evening and overnight. The site lists 103,857 hotels across 46 states with no booking fee.
The Dayuse Portland page returned 19 priced cards on 19 October 2026, and eight of them sit within 1.6 km of the venue. The nearest is Jupiter Original at 0.69 km, $89 against a $150 nightly rate, with windows of 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 5 to 11 p.m. Jupiter Next sits 0.71 km at $123 against $209, with windows of 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 5 to 10 p.m. Royal Sonesta sits 1.38 km at $110 against $173, with five windows running 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Prices are the card figures before booking fees. Each card carries a maximum booking fee between $6 and $10. Distances are straight-line from the venue coordinates at 777 NE Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard.
What to Confirm
Three items. The Portland schedule lands about a week out and decides the Friday master classes. Observer wristbands cost $85 at the Jump Store, and no one-day observer band exists, so a parent covering one day buys the full band. Dancers under 16 must bring an adult.
