One trade-show day, one room
The Indiana Green Expo runs February 8 to 10, 2027 at the Indiana Convention Center. The show combines an education conference and a trade show for the state's landscape, nursery and turf trades. The venue forecasts 2,000 attendees.
Many registrants attend one day of it. A one-day attendee needs a desk for email and a closed door for calls. A hotel room booked for those hours covers both.
What the week looks like
The organiser's future-expos page lists the 2027 Indiana Green Expo as an educational conference and trade show running February 8 to 10, 2027, at 100 South Capitol Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46225.
The organiser home page still carries the 2026 edition. That show ran education from February 9 to 11 and the trade show from February 10 to 11 at the same venue. The 2026 trade show opened Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. and closed at 5 p.m., then ran Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. General education sessions started at 8 a.m. on the Tuesday and Wednesday, and the Monday carried workshops.
Read those hours as the 2026 pattern. The organiser has published no 2027 grid.
Where to register
The organiser sells a discounted pre-registration rate online. Online registration closed on February 1 at 11:59 p.m. for the 2026 show, and registration moved on site at full price after that date. The 2026 show took on-site registration at the expo in Hall D, with the desk open Monday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Wednesday 7 a.m. to noon. An on-site attendee can register on the morning of the trade show and walk the floor that day.
A registration desk also handles continuing education paperwork. Approved International Society of Arboriculture classes are listed there.
The credit the day earns
The organiser states that all programs qualify for Indiana Accredited Horticulturist and Landscape Industry Certified continuing education units. Attendees took 7 IAH units at the 2025 expo. Units were also requested from the American Society of Landscape Architects, the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America, the International Society of Arboriculture, the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute, the National Concrete Masonry Association, the Local Technical Assistance Program and the Master Gardener program, plus pesticide credit in Kentucky, Ohio and Michigan.
Recertification windows run at different lengths. Indiana Accredited Horticulturist needs 7 hours per two-year period. Landscape Industry Certified needs 24 per two years. The International Society of Arboriculture sets 30 hours over three years for a Certified Arborist.
A single trade-show day moves one or two of those numbers. It does not close a two-year window.
A room for the working hours
hotelSlots books rooms in four six-hour slots: Morning 6 a.m. to noon, Afternoon noon to 6 p.m., Evening 6 p.m. to midnight, and Overnight midnight to 6 a.m. One slot covers a trade-show day. Two slots cover an early arrival through the evening.
The platform's remote-work page describes the space it sells: high-speed Wi-Fi, a desk and ergonomic seating, gym and coffee between calls, and privacy for calls. Confirm the amenities on the specific listing. The day-use page states that pool, gym, Wi-Fi and shower access are included, and the platform's FAQ states that day-use guests get the same room types and amenities as overnight guests.
hotelSlots publishes 103,857 hotels across 46 states with no booking fee. Its day-use bands read 30 to 75 percent below nightly rates on the home page and 40 to 60 percent below overnight on the day-use page. Both are the platform's published figures.
What the hours cost
Dayuse publishes an average day-room price of $87.43 for Indianapolis.
Engine publishes an Indianapolis nightly average of $128 from 1.2 million public rate observations between May 2024 and April 2026. Engine labels those par rates: the cheapest publicly available price at the time of each search. February averages $107, the low month of the Engine set and 16 percent below the city average. January averages $114. May peaks at $158 across the year.
The February show dates land in the cheapest month of the Indianapolis hotel year.
The conference hotel
The Westin Indianapolis at 241 W Washington St is the expo headquarter hotel. The organiser notes that a guest can walk across the street to the Indiana Convention Center, and that the room block carries special pricing. The 2026 block closed on January 23, 2026.
A one-day registrant who drives in can skip the block. A day-use room covers the hours the show runs.
Getting in and out
The venue recommends the Maryland Street canopy for taxi pick-ups and drop-offs. Access may be restricted during certain events.
The venue publishes four downtown counts. Downtown Indianapolis holds 7,100 hotel rooms. Of those, 4,700 connect to the convention center by skywalk. Two hundred downtown restaurants sit within walking distance, and Indianapolis International Airport is 15 minutes away.
The organiser treats registration fees as a donation to the Midwest Regional Turf Foundation and the Indiana Nursery and Landscape Association when a registrant cannot attend.
Before you book
Confirm the 2027 show hall and hours with the organiser before finalising a slot. The education line reaches the Midwest Regional Turf Foundation at 765-494-8039 or admin@mrtf.org.
hotelslots.org restricts booking requests from residents of, or for travel to, Florida, Hawaii, Iowa and Washington. Indiana sits outside that list.
Book one slot for one trade-show day. The slot ends when it ends, and the drive home starts from the same block.
