Two Days at the IU Natatorium
The IHSAA Girls Swimming & Diving State Finals run Feb. 12-13, 2027 at the IU Natatorium, 901 West New York Street in Indianapolis. The two days close the 2026-27 tournament series, which opens with sectionals on Feb. 4 and Feb. 6 and diving regionals on Feb. 9, as the IHSAA Girls Swimming & Diving page lists them. The Natatorium's own events calendar carries the same window as the IHSAA Girls Swimming & Diving Championships and stamps the page "Updated 9/2/2026" under a note that events are subject to change.
The venue seats 4,700 and calls itself the largest indoor aquatic facility in the United States. Its about page reports more than 100,000 competitive swimmers and fans through the doors each year.
A Held Room Across a Meet Day
Neither the IHSAA nor the Natatorium publishes session start or end times for the 2027 finals. The federation publishes the two dated blocks and the qualifying rounds ahead of them; the venue publishes the two dates on its calendar and no clock. Build the day around the published window and confirm the order of the preliminary and final sessions with the host before you commit to a slot.
A day-use room covers the hours a meet day leaves open. hotelSlots sells four time slots: morning, 6 a.m. to 12 p.m.; afternoon, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.; evening, 6 p.m. to 12 a.m.; and overnight, 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. Book one slot or combine several for full-day coverage. The platform describes a day-use room as typically 6 to 8 hours, with a bed, a desk and Wi-Fi, and often the fitness center or pool.
The Venue Sells Its Own Swim Pass
The Natatorium sells lap-swim passes at its Pro Shop desk. A one-day pass costs $6.00 and a 15-visit pass costs $55.00, and the ladder runs on to 30 visits for $105.00 and 40 visits for $135.00. The passes are available only at the Natatorium Pro Shop Desk, expire two years from purchase, and are bought through Fusion. The Pro Shop Desk takes questions at 317-274-0336.
Lap swim runs in the competition pool at 79 degrees Fahrenheit, 9 to 10 feet deep. Swimmers enter from the scoreboard end and circle-swim on the right side of the lane. Capacity is three swimmers a lane in short course, 25 yards, and four a lane in long course, 50 metres. The venue does not supply kickboards, pull buoys or other aquatic exercise equipment.
Lockers and Showers On Site
Lockers are available for the visit and the swimmer brings the lock. Belongings must leave with the swimmer each day, and locks left on the locker are cut off. Showers are available for use.
Parking on the IU Indianapolis campus is controlled and operated by IU Indianapolis Parking and Transportation Services, and the most convenient option is the sports garage. Natatorium and Carroll Stadium patrons can buy a monthly parking permit at the Pro Shop desk for $35 and check in at the Pro Shop Desk on the lower level of the Natatorium. The stairs down sit on the east side of the building, near the entrance to the parking garage.
What a Day Room Costs in Indianapolis
Dayuse publishes an average day-room price of $87.43 for Indianapolis, alongside up to 75 percent off an overnight stay, free cancellation until the last minute, payment at the hotel and no prepayment. Engine puts the city's average nightly rate at $128 across 1.2 million public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026, taken from searches made 10 to 180 days before check-in. February is the cheapest month in that series at $107, 16 percent under the average, against the May peak of $158.
hotelSlots publishes three discount bands. The home page states 30 to 75 percent less than nightly rates, the day-use page states 40 to 60 percent less than overnight, and the platform's rate guide describes a day slot as roughly 40 to 60 percent of the nightly figure. All three are the platform's own published figures.
Confirm the Inclusions, Then Book Ahead
The platform states two different things about what a day room includes. Its day-use page says pool, gym, Wi-Fi and shower access are included. Its short-stay guide says Wi-Fi, a proper desk, gym access, pool access and parking can all vary by property. Check the individual listing before booking, because those extras carry most of the value in a working day.
The same guide carries the inventory limit. Day-use inventory is limited by design, because one room can host only so many daytime slots in a day, and the best slots at the best properties fill first, especially weekday afternoons and airport-area locations. Feb. 12 and Feb. 13, 2027 fall on a Friday and a Saturday, and the Natatorium's February calendar also carries the Horizon League Swimming & Diving Championships on Feb. 17-20 and the IHSAA Boys Swimming & Diving Championships on Feb. 26-27.
Indiana is not among the four states the platform names as restricting day-use bookings under state travel laws, which it lists as Florida, Hawaii, Iowa and Washington.
