A Tuesday Floor Pass and a Five-Hour Window
The Midwest Healthcare Engineering Conference & Trade Show runs November 8 to 10, 2026 at the Indiana Convention Center, 100 S Capitol Ave, Indianapolis. The venue lists the event in Exhibit Hall A and forecasts 600 attendees. Seven regional healthcare engineering societies present it, including the Indiana Society for Healthcare Engineering.
Tuesday, November 10 is the trade show day. The organiser publishes exhibit hall hours of 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for that date and states that the hall opens on one day only, Tuesday. Its FAQ page also names a Monday window, with the hall open during a Happy Hour from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on November 9. The schedule page carries a subject-to-change note.
What the Tuesday Pass Covers
The organiser groups registration by audience. Attendees buy a full conference pass or a one-day pass for Monday or Tuesday. Exhibitors choose between an All-Access Pass and a Tuesday Trade Show-Only Pass, and each booth includes one registration of each type.
MWHCEC defines the Tuesday Trade Show-Only Pass as access to the trade show floor plus Tuesday lunch. The organiser states that the pass excludes educational sessions, networking events and other conference activities.
A one-day pass costs $255 before September 14, 2026 and $295 after that date. Technician Training costs $95 at either price point. The All-Access Pass costs $340 before the early-bird deadline and $380 after it. Cancellations draw a refund less a $100 administrative fee through October 2, 2026, and the organiser grants none after that date.
The Tuesday Timetable
Registration runs 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and a continental breakfast runs 7:30 to 9:00 a.m.
Education fills the morning. An Early Risers session runs 8:00 to 8:45 a.m. in Rooms 123-124. A general session on hospital performance benchmarking runs 9:00 to 10:15 a.m. in Room 125. A session on collaborative engineering strategies for a healthcare campus runs 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in Rooms 126-128. Each session carries one continuing education unit.
The floor opens at 11:30 a.m. Prize drawings run 12:00 to 12:30 p.m., 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. and 2:00 to 2:30 p.m. Lunch and a second drawing run 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. The grand prize drawing closes the floor at 3:00 p.m. and free time runs to 5:00 p.m.
A Room for the Gap Between Sessions
A Tuesday attendee driving in from outside Marion County holds a short day. hotelSlots books day-use rooms in four blocks: Morning 6 a.m. to 12 p.m., Afternoon 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., Evening 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. and Overnight 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. One booking covers a single block, and several combined cover a full day.
The platform describes a day-use room as a stay of typically six to eight hours. Its workspace page describes a quiet, professional space with reliable Wi-Fi and business-grade internet, a desk, ergonomic seating and privacy for calls.
The day-room page states that pool, gym, Wi-Fi and shower access are included. The platform's short-stay guide states that Wi-Fi, a desk, gym access, pool access and parking can each vary by property. Confirm the inclusions on the listing you book.
What a Day Costs in Indianapolis
Dayuse publishes an average day-room price of $87.43 for Indianapolis. Engine reports a $128 average nightly rate for the city across 1.2 million public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026, with November at $122. Engine labels those par rates, the cheapest public price at the time of each search.
hotelSlots advertises day rates at 30 to 75 percent below the nightly rate at the same hotel and states that it charges no booking fees and no commission markup. Its editorial rate guide puts a day slot at roughly 40 to 60 percent of the nightly figure.
The directory lists 273 hotels in Indianapolis, and the body copy on the same page reads 123. The platform states that day-use inventory is limited by design and that the best slots fill first, especially weekday afternoons. Tuesday is a weekday. Florida, Hawaii, Iowa and Washington restrict day-use bookings under state travel laws, and Indiana is not on that list.
Getting to Hall A
The Indiana Convention Center sits at 100 South Capitol Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46225. The venue reports 7,100 hotel rooms downtown, 4,700 of them connected by skywalk, plus 200 downtown restaurants within walking distance and 15 minutes to Indianapolis International Airport. Denison Parking operates all Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium lots, and the venue counts more than 70,000 parking spaces downtown.
Skywalks and facility doors run on an event-dependent schedule, with a rule of thumb of lockdown around 11:00 p.m. and reopening around 6:00 a.m. The organiser runs a hotel block through its own booking link for the 2026 event, and The Westin Indianapolis holds the published group rate at $179 a night.
Credit, Attendance and the Theme
The American Society for Healthcare Engineering of the American Hospital Association approved the programme for 11 contact hours or 11 CEUs, split as 1.5 on Sunday, 6 on Monday and 3.5 on Tuesday.
The organiser tracks attendance through a conference app. A check-in code is given at the start of each session, the attendee enters it in the app, and the app builds a transcript that can be emailed at the end of the event.
More than 540 attendees joined the 2025 event, and the organiser lists more than 100 exhibitors for 2026. This year's theme is Built to Adapt.
