Saturday trading from ten

Crafty Wonderland trades in Hall D at the Oregon Convention Center on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 December. Doors run 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days.

Entry costs $4 a person and carries a timed entry hour. A ticket holder arrives inside the purchased hour and stays until the hall closes. Children aged 5 and under need no ticket.

The Friday First Pick Party runs 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at $25 and includes one drink at the cash bar.

The hours a day room covers

A solo buyer arrives on Friday, shops on Saturday and flies out on Saturday night. That trip needs one hotel night at most.

Hotel checkout lands in the morning. A day room covers the hours between checkout and the gate: a shower, a bag drop, a quiet hour.

The six sit 1.1 to 1.8 kilometres from the hall in a straight line. Courtyard by Marriott Portland Downtown/Convention Center at 435 NE Wasco Street sits 570 metres out. Hotel Eastlund at 1021 NE Grand Avenue sits 330. Neither posted a day rate on this read.

What hotelSlots sells

hotelSlots sells morning, afternoon and full-day slots, priced by the hour or by the block. The brand publishes day-use rates at 40 to 60 percent below overnight rates.

The booking carries no fee to the guest. The guest pays the hotel directly.

Oregon sits among the 46 states covered. Florida, Hawaii, Iowa and Washington carry the seller-of-travel restriction, and Oregon does not.

Wi-Fi, lockers, the building

Wi-Fi is free in all lobbies and meeting rooms. Basic service costs $12 a day and Business Class costs $50 a day, both by credit card with support on site.

The venue rents lockers through LocketGo at the MLK Lobby, the Holladay Lobby and the Ginkoberry Concourse. A reservation runs on a phone with a credit card. The building is cashless.

The welcome desk takes reservations for wheelchairs and mobility scooters.

Parking and the door

The garage holds 800 cars and opens at 6 a.m. Entry costs $15 for up to 18 hours, and a dynamic $15 to $25 applies at entry on event days. Overnight parking is prohibited.

MAX stops 300 times a day at the front door. The Streetcar A Loop calls at NE MLK and Hoyt every 15 minutes. Bus line 6 stops at NE MLK and Holladay. Portland International Airport sits eight miles away.

One Saturday slot, one day room

One Saturday day room costs $106 to $159. A two-night stay at the same properties costs $214 to $318 at the published nightly comparisons, before tax.

The single-day visit needs neither.
