Eleven to seven across fifteen blocks
The Calle Ocho Music Festival runs Sunday, March 14, 2027, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The route covers 15 street blocks of Little Havana, from SW 12th to 27th Avenue. The festival page carries one line for admission: FREE EVENT.
Carnaval Miami runs the day through volunteers of the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana. Its home page puts average attendance across the Carnaval Miami series at one million people a year and the economic impact at $40M.
The VIP clock starts before the gate
The VIP Passport sets its own hours. Registration opens at 12:30 p.m. and closes at 4 p.m., which the page calls last call. VIP time runs 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
That is a 90-minute run-up to the pass window and a hard stop at 4 p.m. for anyone collecting a pass late. A crew that finishes setup at 3 p.m. still has an hour to register. A crew that finishes at 5 p.m. does not.
What the passport covers
The pass includes Latin food and drink samples from Little Havana restaurants, VIP access to some music stages, private transportation throughout the 15-block festival, lounge access, a commemorative lanyard and merchandising, and reserved parking. Drink sample wristbands require age 21 or over.
The transportation line matters on a route this long. Walking its length twice inside six hours costs more time than most people plan for.
Sales for 2027 are not open. The festival page reads VIP PASSPORT 2027 COMING SOON and the ticket link reads GET YOUR TICKET HERE! COMING SOON.
Two address strings for the registration lot
The holder notice places the Kiwanis Registration Tent at the Miami Dade College surface parking lot, printed as 2501 SW 6th Street, Miami, on 6th Street and 27th. The parking block on the same page prints Miami Dade College Surface Parking Lot, 2620 SW 5th Street, Miami, FL 33135.
Print both and confirm with the organiser before driving. The lot sits at the SW 27th Avenue end of the route.
A base at each end of the route
The Dayuse Miami page read on 18 October 2026 lists 21 priced cards and a city average of $113.76.
At the east end, near SW 12th Avenue, YVE Hotel Miami lists US$86 against US$220, 64 percent lower, with windows at 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. That reads 1.65 straight-line miles, 2.21 road miles and 6 minutes. Gale Miami Hotel and Residences lists US$148 against US$370, 63 percent lower, with windows at 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. That reads 1.64 straight-line miles and 2.28 road miles.
At the west end, near SW 27th Avenue, Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Miami Airport South lists $129 with windows at 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., noon to 6 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. That reads 1.93 straight-line miles, 2.71 road miles and 7 minutes. Clarion Inn & Suites Miami International Airport lists $80 against $150, 51 percent lower, on a 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. window. That reads 4.0 straight-line miles and 5.15 road miles.
Which window covers one to seven
YVE covers it in two bookings. Its 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. window takes the gate and the VIP start. Its 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. window takes the finish. The platform states that any combination of slots can be booked, so the pair runs 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. with an hour of buffer at each end.
Gale does not cover it. Both Gale windows close before 7 p.m., and the 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. window closes before VIP time opens.
Fairfield covers the finish exactly. Its 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. window ends at the 7 p.m. close, which suits a crew working the west end or a vendor packing out at 27th Avenue.
Clarion closes at 4 p.m. Its window suits a setup shift and nothing after it.
Florida sits on the restricted list
hotelSlots covers 46 U.S. states with 103,857+ hotels offering day-use rooms. Its own FAQ carries this line: A few states (FL, HI, IA, WA) restrict day-use bookings under state travel laws. Its Florida directory path returns a 404 with a two-byte body.
Its slot ladder runs Morning 6 a.m. to noon, Afternoon noon to 6 p.m., Evening 6 p.m. to midnight and Overnight midnight to 6 a.m. The rates and windows above come from dayuse.com, which publishes the city average and each property window. Confirm the state rule and the checkout hour before any card is charged.
The order to book in
Register the passport first, since 2027 sales are not open yet. Then fix the shift: setup from 11 a.m., VIP from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., registration closed at 4 p.m.
Then book the window against that shift and get the checkout hour in writing. A vendor working the east end wants YVE at 10 a.m. A vendor packing out at 27th Avenue wants Fairfield at 2 p.m.
One more line for the crews. The pass covers private transportation along the route. It does not cover a place to leave a bag, a box of stock or a change of clothes. A day room does.
