Two days on the Events DC calendar
Apex 2027 occupies two days at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Wednesday January 27 and Thursday January 28, 2027. The Events DC calendar stamps a 7 a.m. start on the 27th and an 11:59 p.m. finish on the 28th.
The event page carries the mission line. Apex states that it connects the U.S. military, allied forces, defense contractors and technology companies, with the mission to deliver adaptable capability at speed and scale to the warfighter.
The page lists the two dates and the venue. It carries no daily door time and no session grid.
The Washington, D.C. Auto Show runs at the same address from January 22 to January 31, 2027. Its two middle weekdays open at noon and close at 8 p.m., and Apex falls inside that run.
Work surfaces in the building
The venue FAQ states that complimentary Wi-Fi runs across the entire facility at 768 kBps download and 768 kBps upload. The guest services page lists wireless service for basic functions at prevailing rates, with free service at hotspots marked with Wi-Fi signage.
Wired connections outside Meeting Room 103A in the L Street Lobby carry no cost and hold eight users at a time. Two internet kiosks in the Grand Lobby of the South Building charge a nominal fee and accept major credit cards. The Grand Lobby iPad kiosks carry free internet.
The Capital Business Center handles copying, computer rental, faxing and small-package shipping through FedEx, UPS and DHL. The Guest Services desk sits in the Grand Lobby, and ATMs stand in common areas. Aramark supplies the food under the DC Eats brand.

Booking by the block
hotelslots.org sells four slots: Morning 6 a.m. to noon, Afternoon noon to 6 p.m., Evening 6 p.m. to midnight and Overnight midnight to 6 a.m. The platform states that several slots can be combined for full-day coverage.
The platform lists 46 states and 103,857 hotels, prices day use at 30 to 75% below the nightly rate and states that it charges no booking fee. The dayuse.com cards carry their own booking fees, from nothing at the Sofitel to $9 at Le Meridien.
hotelslots.org publishes no District of Columbia directory page. The paths /directory/dc/washington and /directory/district-of-columbia/washington both return a 404 with a two-byte body, so a DC request runs through the booking form.
Getting to 801 Allen Y. Lew Place NW
The Convention Center carries no public parking and counts over 3,000 spaces within three blocks. Metro Green and Yellow trains stop at Mt. Vernon Square/Convention Center, and the entrance on the southwest corner of 7th and M Street NW leads into the building.
What to confirm before booking
Ask the organiser for the daily clock before fixing a slot to the 7 a.m. stamp. Ask for the room assignment and the session grid in the same request.
The rates come from one read on 23 October 2026. Check the card price, the fee and the window on the booking date.
