Two halls, two days, one building
The Oregon Convention Center lists Aloha - Portland - Showdown 2027 - DI/DII for January 9 to 10 in Halls B-C. The card's Event website resolves to the organiser at varsity.com/alo/, which prints Portland, OR, 1/9/2027 - 1/10/2027 at the Oregon Convention Center and bills the weekend a 400 Point Event in The Varsity Cheer League. The venue page's structured data books the hall block from 8:00 on Saturday, January 9 to 18:00 on Sunday, January 10, Pacific time.
Neither page publishes a session clock. The venue card carries a date tag, a hall name, a contact number and the organiser blurb in place of an hours table. The organiser card prints its door line twice and leaves the hour blank, reading "Thursday Doors Open -", on a weekend that runs Saturday and Sunday. The card publishes 800.840.4772 for registration. Ask for the session grid before you fix a window.
What the building gives away
Wireless runs through the convention center. Know Before You Go states complimentary Wi-Fi in all lobbies and meeting rooms, then prices the paid tier at $12 per day for Basic service and $50 per day for Business Class, charged to a credit card, with customer support on site. The page prints no bandwidth figure for either tier.
Three LocketGo banks hold the bags. The venue describes them as salmon-colored and reservable with a mobile device and a credit card, and prints each position: the MLK Lobby near the main entrance, the Holladay Lobby at the north end of the building, and the Ginkoberry Concourse at the south end. A locker and a lobby chair cover a short gap between sessions. A call that runs an hour needs a door that closes.
A second hall on the same Saturday
The January 2027 calendar carries twelve events and puts two of them on January 9. Build, Remodel & Landscape Show 2027 runs Hall A from January 8 to 10. The Showdown runs Halls B-C. Both listings sit on the same month page, one hall apart.
Four directory members inside half a mile
The platform's directory counts 278 hotels in Portland. Four members sit within half a mile of 777 NE Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, measured straight-line from the venue: Hyatt Regency Portland, 375 NE Holladay Street, 0.19 miles; Inn at the Convention Center, 420 NE Holladay Street, 0.20 miles; Hotel Eastlund, 1021 NE Grand Avenue, 0.23 miles; Courtyard Portland Downtown/Convention Center, 435 NE Wasco Street, 0.36 miles. None of the four carries a day rate in the card set read for this piece. The directory supplies a name, an address and a star tier.
The priced cards sit outside the Lloyd District
Dayuse's Portland page returned 19 priced cards on 19 October 2026. The nearest sits 0.49 miles from the doors. The five below cover the range from the river east to Southwest Portland.
Jupiter Original, 0.49 miles, Southeast Portland, $89 against a $150 overnight comparison, 45 percent off, windows 10:00-16:00 and 17:00-23:00. Jupiter Next, 0.51 miles, Southeast Portland, $123 against $209, 45 percent off, windows 10:00-16:00 and 17:00-22:00. Embassy Suites by Hilton Portland Downtown, 0.63 miles, $134 against $184, 32 percent off, window 9:00-17:00. Hotel Lucia, 0.84 miles, $118 against $219, 50 percent off, windows 8:00-12:00, 8:00-15:00 and 13:00-17:00. Royal Sonesta Portland Downtown, 0.84 miles, $107 against $170, 42 percent off, five windows from 7:00-14:00 to 17:00-22:00.
Royal Sonesta prices a 7:00-14:00 window and a 17:00-22:00 window on the same card, so one booking covers either end of the day. Jupiter Original prices both of its windows at $89. Hotel Lucia opens at 8:00. Jupiter Next lists 4 stars against Jupiter Original's 3.
The card set stamps those prices at the 19 October read. Dayuse rates move between reads, so recheck the slot on the day you book.
The fee every card carries
Every card on this read carried a maximum booking fee between $5 and $10. Dayuse's own help page states that booking fees are payable online on some offers, that the remainder settles at the hotel, and that fees paid in advance are not refundable. Confirm the total in the booking flow.
What January costs in this market
Engine's rate index puts Portland at $124 a night across 1.2 million par-rate observations logged between May 2024 and April 2026. January averages $109, twelve percent below the city figure and level with December at the bottom of the table, against $145 in July. A day slot at $89 to $134 buys hours.
Parking, payment and the between-sessions plan
The garage holds 800 spaces at $15 for up to 18 hours with no in-and-out privileges, and the venue charges a dynamic $15 to $25 at entry during events. The garage opens at 6:00 AM. Overnight parking is prohibited.
The building is cashless. Credit cards, debit cards and touchless payment only. Five ATMs stand inside, plus a Reverse ATM down the short hallway to the left of the welcome desk in the MLK Lobby. Two Mamava wellness suites sit near the A and E meeting rooms on level 1.
Match the slot to your own gap. Royal Sonesta's 7:00-14:00 window takes a morning arrival and a midday break. Jupiter Original's 17:00-23:00 window takes an evening debrief after the hall closes. Book the hours you need, confirm the reservation is day-use, and keep the locker code on the same phone as the booking.
