A Three-Day Convention With an Unposted Grid

The Indiana Convention Center lists the American Football Coaches Association Annual Convention for February 14, 15 and 16, 2027, in Indianapolis. The venue prints a forecast attendance of 7,000, and its page states the event runs February 14 to 16 and gathers over 7,000 football coaches and support staff.

The final day is Tuesday, February 16. The venue page carries no exhibit hall location and no door time, and it publishes no session start or end times.

The Organiser Has Not Posted the Timetable

The organiser's schedule page carries its heading and nothing beneath it. The same site states that more information on the 2027 convention is coming soon. Its FAQ page still carries the 2025 convention dates and the Charlotte Convention Center address, so it describes a past edition.

The show site linked from the venue carries the convention name, the dates and the city. It carries no session grid and no floor hours.

That leaves one position for a reader planning a single day. The last day is Tuesday, February 16, and no source publishes the hour the floor closes. Budget a daytime room and confirm the floor hours with the organiser.

One Hall Day, One Day-Use Slot

hotelSlots sells rooms by the daytime block. The platform lists Morning 6AM to 12PM, Afternoon 12PM to 6PM, Evening 6PM to 12AM and Overnight 12AM to 6AM, and states that a reader can book one slot or combine several for full-day coverage. Its rates guide describes a day-use room as typically 6 to 8 hours.

A Room for Calls Between Sessions

The platform markets day-use rooms to people who need somewhere to work. Its remote-work page offers a quiet, professional space with reliable Wi-Fi, business-grade internet, a desk and ergonomic seating, and privacy for calls, with gym, coffee and restaurant breaks between calls.

hotelSlots states on its day-use page that full hotel amenities apply, with pool, gym, Wi-Fi and shower access included.

The Skywalk Pool Is the February Shortcut

The venue counts 7,100 hotel rooms in downtown Indianapolis and states that 4,700 of them connect to the Convention Center by skywalks. Its hotels page adds that more than half of the 7,100 sit within blocks of the Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium. In February, the skywalk-connected rooms keep a reader indoors between the hotel and the hall.

The official block's own listing gives Signia by Hilton Indianapolis a distance to the venue of 0.145 miles, the shortest of its 23 hotels. The Crowne Plaza Union Station sits next at 0.157 miles. The venue publishes no distance of its own.

The skywalk window is not fixed. The venue states that closing and opening times are event-dependent, with a rule of thumb of roughly 11:00 p.m. for lock down and roughly 6:00 a.m. for reopening. It also lists 200 downtown restaurants within walking distance and 15 minutes to Indianapolis International Airport. The hotelSlots directory lists 273 hotels in Indianapolis.

A New Skywalk-Connected Hotel for February 2027

The venue announced on April 21, 2026 that the Signia by Hilton Indianapolis is accepting reservations for stays beginning February 1, 2027, 13 days before the convention opens. The venue describes it as an 800-room new-build, the city's tallest hotel and the Convention Center's newest headquarters hotel, with direct access to the center via skywalk. It names seven dining experiences and a ballroom it calls the largest in Indiana, and places the hotel on the Georgia Street pedestrian promenade in the Wholesale District. The city owns the property and the Capital Improvement Board of Managers of Marion County leads operations.

February Is the Lowest Month in This Market

Engine puts the Indianapolis average nightly rate at $128 across 1.2 million public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026, and February at $107, which is 16 percent below that average and the lowest month of the twelve. May is the peak at $158, 23 percent above the average, and Engine measures rates swinging 32 percent across the year. It states that these are par rates, the cheapest public price at the time of each search rather than a negotiated rate.

hotelSlots publishes 30 to 75 percent less than nightly rates on its home page and 40 to 60 percent less than overnight on its day-use page.

What to Confirm Before Booking

The organiser has not published the 2027 timetable, and the venue publishes neither a hall assignment nor a door time, so confirm both with the AFCA before booking a slot. Day rates move with the slot and the date, so confirm the rate on the offer.

The platform states that Florida, Hawaii, Iowa and Washington restrict day-use bookings under state travel laws. Indiana is not among the four.
