Day use before a 7 p.m. start: the 18-19 December Fort Worth finals

Two nights at Will Rogers Coliseum

The Wrangler WPRA National Breakaway Finals run Friday, 18 December and Saturday, 19 December 2026, at Will Rogers Coliseum, 3401 W Lancaster Ave. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. The roping starts at 7:00 p.m. on both nights.

The venue page dates block reads 18 December 2026 to 19 December 2026. The line under it prints Saturday, 18 December twice. Plan Friday the 18th and Saturday the 19th.

Tickets sell through Ticketmaster.com. The listing shows Price Range: Varies.

What the two nights decide

The top 15 in the WPRA Pro Rodeo Breakaway World Standings at the close of the regular season on 30 September qualify to enter.

The championship runs a 10-round, top-15 format modeled on NFR barrel racing. The WPRA and the PRCA began that structure in 2020. The winner earns the title of World Champion Breakaway Roper, and this event is the only place a roper can earn it.

The finals move to Fort Worth from Las Vegas under a three-year agreement between the WPRA and the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo. Wrangler has held the title sponsorship since the event began in 2020.

The WPRA began in 1948, when 38 women met in a San Angelo hotel on 28 February and formed the Girls Rodeo Association. The association took its current name in 1981 and is headquartered in Colorado Springs. Will Rogers Coliseum has hosted rodeo, equestrian and livestock events since 1936.

The clock the page leaves open

The page publishes a start time and no end time. Book a window that runs past the last round. The evening window runs 6 p.m. to midnight, and the overnight window runs midnight to 6 a.m.

Day-use windows measured against a 6 p.m. door

A day-use read of Fort Worth on 26 October 2026 returned 14 priced properties. The mean slot rate came to $84.14. The floor was $55 and the ceiling was $177. Each figure carries the platform's booking fee inside it.

Courtyard by Marriott Fort Worth Historic Stockyards lists $177 on an 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. window. That window reaches the door and ends at the start.

Quality Inn West Fort Worth lists from $55, with a 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. window among its four. Days Inn by Wyndham South Fort Worth lists from $66, with a 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. window among its three.

La Quinta by Wyndham Fort Worth City View lists from $71 on a noon to 6 p.m. window. Comfort Suites Fort Worth North Fossil Creek lists from $61, with a 5 p.m. to midnight window. Embassy Suites by Hilton Fort Worth Downtown lists $123 on a single 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. window.

A late-afternoon arrival, step by step

Check in between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Shower, change, lay out the clothes for the evening.

Leave the property around 5 p.m. The door opens at 6 p.m. The first roper goes at 7 p.m.

Return after the last round. A window ending at 11 p.m. or midnight covers the drive back and the pack-out.

The morning after

Two nights of 7 p.m. starts leave one decision on the Sunday: drive home at midnight or sleep and leave after breakfast.

Ask the desk for the longest window the property will sell on the day. Where the answer is a fixed slot, book the evening window for the Friday and an overnight for the Saturday. The overnight block runs midnight to 6 a.m.

For a Sunday departure, a morning window covers the shower and the bag before the drive.

Booking notes

hotelSlots sells four windows: morning 6 a.m. to noon, afternoon noon to 6 p.m., evening 6 p.m. to midnight, and overnight midnight to 6 a.m. The platform lists 103,857 hotels across 46 states, day rates 30 to 75 percent below the nightly rate, and no booking fee.

The slot you hold is the hours you pay for. Check out when the window ends and pay for that block alone.

18 December falls on a Friday. Two nights of championship roping put a rodeo crowd into the Cultural District at the same hour.
