Charleston Wine + Food sells its Culinary Village in three afternoon blocks at The Citadel's Johnson Hagood Stadium, 68 Hagood Ave. The 2027 festival runs 3 to 7 March, and the Village sells on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of that week.
One venue, three gate times
General admission opens at 2:00 pm and closes at 5:30 pm on Friday 5 March, Saturday 6 March and Sunday 7 March. The price is $199.15 on every one of the three afternoons. The festival states that the listed price includes all fees, and that food and drink come with the ticket.
Two upgrades move the gate to 1:00 pm. General Admission Plus+ costs $250.65. VIP costs $343.35. Both tiers close with general admission at 5:30 pm.
A six-pack of general admission tickets costs $999.20 on one checkout, against $1,194.90 at the single rate. The saving reads $195.70, and each seat prices at $166.53. The bundle covers one chosen day.
The Village is 21 and over, and the festival bills it as its largest tasting event. The organisation's Our Story page reads over 456,000 attendees and more than $210.7 million in economic impact since its inception.
What fills the three and a half hours
The Village runs as a set of tasting neighbourhoods. The festival names three of them: Corkyard, Tippling Town and Grillin' + Chillin'. Each station's chef lineup flips once per day, so the Friday board and the Saturday board carry different names.
The ticket covers bites and sips from wine, beer, spirits and non-alcoholic producers, chef demonstrations, live music, a silent disco, sponsor activations and a retail row.
VIP adds a lounge above the field with seating, lounge tables and two full bars with bartenders. Chef pop-ups run inside the lounge daily. VIP also carries a dedicated entrance, premium restrooms and early access to the Village floor.
Mapping a desk block onto one window
The day-rate market for Charleston returned seven priced cards on a 25 October 2026 read. All seven sit off the peninsula, in Mount Pleasant, North Charleston and Goose Creek. The figures include each card's booking fee, which runs $6 on six cards and $9 on one.
Best Western Patriots Point prices at $85 and sits across the Ravenel Bridge in Mount Pleasant. Its windows are 8:00-14:00, 9:00-17:00 and 17:00-23:00. A 9:00 check-in holds three hours and 45 minutes of desk time before a 12:45 departure for a 1:00 pm gate.
Quality Inn Coliseum North Charleston prices at $81. Its 10:00-18:00 window covers a 1:00 pm entry with 30 minutes of slack. The 8:00-14:00 window covers a 2:00 pm entry, and a 16:00-23:00 window covers the evening.
Embassy Suites by Hilton Charleston Airport prices at $135.75 and publishes one window, 9:00-17:00. Comfort Inn & Suites Charleston Airport Convention Center prices at $100 with two windows, 7:00-14:00 and 10:00-17:00, and the 7:00 window ends an hour before a 2:00 pm gate. StayAPT Suites North Charleston prices at $96 with 10:00-18:00. Comfort Inn & Suites Northwoods prices at $100 with 7:00-14:00 and 10:00-17:00. Econo Lodge Goose Creek prices at $76 with 8:00-14:00, 9:00-17:00 and 17:00-23:00.
The seven cards average $96.25 and span $76 to $135.75.
The five-minute walk
The festival's own Where to Stay page answers the proximity question. The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Downtown Charleston, Medical Center at 250 Spring St reads "Just a 5 minute walk to the Culinary Village." The straight-line distance from 250 Spring St to 68 Hagood Ave measures 0.52 miles.
Charleston Marriott at 170 Lockwood Dr sits 0.42 straight-line miles from the gate, and the festival describes it as a short distance from The Lawn at Hagood. Comfort Inn Downtown Charleston at 144 Bee St sits 0.61 miles out.
No day-rate card in the seven sits inside that radius. A reader who wants to walk to the gate books a nightly room on the peninsula. A reader who wants a day rate schedules the crossing.
Two rules to carry in
Bags must be clear. A clutch no larger than 4.5 by 6.5 inches is the single exception. Backpacks, coolers and lawn chairs are refused.
ADA parking sits on site, with on-premise transport from the lot to the main entrance on a first-come, first-served basis. A staffed medical site operates inside the Village. Service animals are the only animals admitted.
Booking the window
The festival publishes availability by event type. The schedule page read 45 events available, 18 at limited quantity and 33 sold out on 25 October, out of 96. The Village sells six products across the three afternoons.
Hold the desk slot and the gate time in one decision, and check the card's window end against 5:30 pm before paying. A 7:00-14:00 card cannot serve a 2:00 pm gate, and a 9:00-17:00 card leaves the final half hour of the Village uncovered.
