A 4 p.m. curtain and a 2:30 door

The 10th Annual Scott Hamilton & Friends takes Bridgestone Arena on Sunday, January 17, 2027. The arena lists a 4:00 p.m. start and a 2:30 p.m. door, and titles the bill A Night of Gold. The event has run since 2016 and raises money for the Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation. The foundation funds cancer treatment research.

The door leaves a Sunday morning and an early afternoon before the show.

The bag cap decides the morning

Bridgestone Arena publishes a bag limit. Bags larger than 12 by 12 by 6 inches are prohibited and do not enter the arena. Bags between 6 by 4 by 1.5 inches and 12 by 12 by 6 inches pass x-ray screening and visual inspection. Smaller bags use the express lanes. Backpacks of any size are prohibited.

The same page carries the sentence that shapes the day: "Bridgestone Arena does not provide on-site storage." A bag that fails the cap has nowhere to go inside the building.

A day room answers that. Drop the bag at a property, walk to 501 Broadway with a bag inside the cap, and collect it after the show. The arena is a cashless venue and accepts mobile payment plus Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. The arena also runs a no re-entry policy.

Food before the door

BetMGM Sports Lounge Restaurant & Bar sits on the arena's second floor, reached from a streetside entrance on 5th Avenue beside Nashville Locker Room. Its own page lists a 4 p.m. opening Wednesday through Sunday and closure on Monday and Tuesday, with hours varying on event days. The arena's dining page prints 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

Bags enter the restaurant on non-event days. On event days the restaurant admits bags until two hours before the scheduled door. From 3 p.m., or two hours before door time, guests holding a ticket enter through the Evolve security line at the restaurant entrance, scan the ticket and take a wristband. A 2:30 door moves both cut-offs to 12:30 p.m.

Pete & Terry's Tavern sits outside the Nissan SoBro entrance. Its own hours page lists Sunday 12 p.m. to 10 p.m., Thursday 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., with Monday through Wednesday closed except on event nights. The kitchen closes one hour before the tavern. Happy hour runs 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday through Sunday with two-for-one draft beer, well liquor and wine.

The windows that cover the afternoon

Dayuse lists 20 priced Nashville properties on a 25 October 2026 read, from $66 to $170, mean $98.00. Distances below are straight-line from the arena at 501 Broadway.

  • Holiday Inn Express Nashville Downtown-Broadway, 0.33 miles, $115 with a $5 booking fee inside that figure, comparative nightly $270, window 10:00 to 17:00

Two cards inside a mile carry a window past the curtain. Holiday Inn Express runs to 17:00, and Best Western Plus Music Row runs to 18:00.

The arithmetic

The Holiday Inn Express card reads $115 for the 10:00 to 17:00 window. The $5 booking fee sits inside that figure and the hotel collects it. The platform prints $270 as the comparative nightly rate for the same property. That figure is the platform's own, not a quote for January 17.

Where the market thins

hotelSlots lists 222 hotels in Nashville and prints no rate on any listing, so a rate request goes to the property.

The nearest 7 a.m. window sits 3.47 miles out at Best Western Plus Executive Residency Nashville. The two cards inside a mile open at 10 a.m. A reader who needs the room before 10 a.m. pays for distance as well as for the hours.
