Four floor days on one clock

The SCI Convention 2027 runs 20 to 23 January at Music City Center, 201 Rep. John Lewis Way S in Nashville. The show floor opens at 9 a.m. and closes at 5 p.m. on all four days. Registration opens at 8 a.m. Wednesday through Friday and closes at 5 p.m., and on Saturday it opens at 8 a.m. and shuts at 3 p.m. Every convention day is a 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. block with an 8 a.m. start attached to it.

The desk closes before the floor on Saturday

The convention's own hours block sets two clocks. On Saturday the registration desk shuts at 3 p.m. and the floor keeps running until 5 p.m. A badge problem that surfaces in the last two hours of the show has no desk to fix it. The Tuesday before the show runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for early registration.

A nine-hour day in a five-hour parking tier

The Music City Center garage sits at 701 Demonbreun Street, with primary access at 7th Avenue and Demonbreun and auxiliary entrances along 6th Avenue. The rate table reads $15 for 0 to 5 hours, $20 for 5 to 9 hours, $25 for 9 to 12 hours, $30 for 12 to 18 hours and $45 overnight. A lost ticket costs $45. The garage states no in-and-out on the same ticket and no trailer parking, and warns that special event rates may apply and will be posted on entry.

An 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. convention day runs nine hours. That sits in the $20 tier. Leave once for lunch off site and the ticket re-bills on the return.

The day room as a second base

Dayuse lists 20 priced Nashville properties on a 25 October 2026 read, from $66 to $170, mean $98.00. Distances below are straight-line from the Music City Center pin.

  • Holiday Inn Express Nashville Downtown-Broadway, 0.35 miles, $115 with a $5 fee inside it, window 10:00 to 17:00
  • Best Western Plus Music Row, 0.71 miles, $112 with a $7 fee, window 10:00 to 18:00
  • Hampton Inn Nashville / Vanderbilt, 1.19 miles, $85 with a $6 fee, windows 8:00 to 14:00, 10:00 to 16:00 and 17:00 to 23:00

What an eight o'clock start costs

The nearest 8 a.m. window sits 1.19 miles out at Hampton Inn Nashville / Vanderbilt, and it stops at 14:00. The nearest window that reaches the 5 p.m. floor close opens at 10 a.m. and ends at 17:00, 0.35 miles out at Holiday Inn Express Nashville Downtown-Broadway.

The cheapest card on the read costs $66 at Baymont by Wyndham Nashville Airport, 5.21 miles out, with windows from 8:00 to 14:00 and 9:00 to 17:00. A reader who needs the room before 8 a.m. pays for distance as well as for the hours.

Four days of arithmetic

Four day bookings on the closest card read $460. The platform puts that property's comparative nightly rate at $270. Four nights at that rate come to $1,080 before any parking. Four garage days in the $20 tier add $80, so the day-use route reads $540 against the platform's own nightly comparison. Both figures come from the same read and neither is a quote for 20 January.

The evening gap the room covers

The night programme runs after the floor. Wednesday's Weatherby Foundation dinner runs 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. in the MCC Grand Ballroom on Level 4, the hour the floor closes. Friday and Saturday open doors at 6 p.m. for a programme from 6:45 p.m. to 11 p.m. in the same ballroom. That leaves one hour between the floor and the door. Thursday's Ryman Auditorium auction runs general admission from 8 p.m. and VIP from 7:30 p.m.

What the badge requires

The convention is members only. An active member may bring one guest, and every guest needs a paid registration. Youth badges run free from 0 to 12, and 13 to 17 are free through the Outdoors Tomorrow Foundation. An 18-year-old needs an adult badge. A replacement badge costs $75. Convention tickets start at $155 across single-day and multi-day options, and ticket collection runs at the registration counter on Level 2 or through the kiosks, using a barcode emailed on Monday 11 January 2027. Refund requests close on 4 January 2027 at midnight Central.

The organiser lists 950 or more exhibitors, 18,000 or more attendees, 114 or more countries and 50 or more seminars and meet and greets. The seminar schedule page reads that the grid is coming soon, so the floor hours are the only published clock for the four days.
