Show hours run 8am to 5pm
Run to the Sun Car and Truck Show runs Thursday March 18 through Saturday March 20, 2027. The site is the old Myrtle Square Mall at 2501 North Kings Highway, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Show hours read 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on all three days. The organiser's schedule page dates the days March 18, 19 and 20. The event info page heading reads March 18-20-21, 2027. Ask the organiser to confirm the third date before a group books nights around it.
No published item runs after 5:00 PM. Vehicle entry, the customer service desk and the spectator bus all close inside that window.
The bus stops at 5:30pm
The event info page runs Coast RTA buses from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM on show days. The bus leaves the Myrtle Waves Water Park at 3000 Mr Joe White Ave, less than 2.7 miles from the show site. Parking at that lot costs $5 per vehicle, and 100 percent of the proceeds go to the Carolina Forest NJROTC Booster Club.
The schedule page prints a second address. Its Thursday, Friday and Saturday entries list spectator parking at Myrtle Beach Pelicans Stadium, 1251 21st Ave N, with city buses from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The info page states that Pelican Stadium holds no car show parking because baseball games run during the show. Confirm the lot with the organiser in the week of the show.
The off-site lot takes no trailers. The info page states that trailers will be towed at the owner's expense.
The last bus leaves at 5:30 PM. A car parked at either lot stays there until the group returns.
An evening slot covers 6pm to midnight
hotelSlots sells day-use rooms in four windows. Morning runs 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Afternoon runs 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Evening runs 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Overnight runs 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM. The site lists 103,857 hotels across 46 states, charges no booking fee and states that day-use rates run 30 to 75 percent below the nightly rate at the same property.
The site names Florida, Hawaii, Iowa and Washington as the four states that restrict day-use bookings under state travel law. South Carolina carries no such restriction on that list.
A guest who leaves the show floor at 5:00 PM books the evening slot from 6:00 PM. A morning slot ends at noon, and the show floor covers the gap. The site sells one slot or a combination of slots across the same day.
Three properties beside the site
Crown Reef Resort and Waterpark at 2913 S. Ocean Blvd. sits 4.1 miles from the show, per the organiser. The property runs a waterpark on site, and the evening slot follows the show floor. The organiser lists group code Run to the Sun 2026 and telephone 844-827-2434.
Hampton Inn & Suites Myrtle Beach Oceanfront at 1801 S. Ocean Blvd. includes breakfast in its show rate. Group rate code T32 books the room, and the desk number is 843-946-6400.

Registration closes its own window
Registration and spectator ticket sales opened online on September 7, 2026. The organiser states the show sold out in each of the past 15 years and expects to sell out with no on-site registration. Only cars and trucks from 1989 and older may enter. One household may register three vehicles, and entries are not transferable. The window card must match the ID at the gate.
Vehicles registered before February 1, 2027 receive the packet by mail at the billing address. Later registrations collect at the Four Points by Sheraton Myrtle Beach, 101 Fantasy Harbour Blvd. Four Points is the host hotel.
The customer service desk opens Wednesday March 17 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Four Points. Registered cars may enter the show site between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM that day. Thursday desk hours run 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Friday runs 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Saturday carries no packet pickup and no on-site registration.
Four ways onto the site on foot
Spectators enter the north side at 27th Ave N. Two south entries sit at the corner of Oak Street and Myrtle Place and at the corner of Kings Highway and Myrtle Place. The east entry sits on Kings Highway at 25th Ave N. Handicapped parking sits at the southeast corner of the site off N Kings Highway and Myrtle Place.
The organiser permits single-occupant scooters that carry FDA Class II status. Multi-person scooters and personal golf carts stay outside the gate.
What the weekend holds
The organiser awards more than 25 plaques, including Goodguys Awards, Sponsor Picks, NSRA Picks and the Ladie's Choice award. The 50/50 raffle supports the Children's Miracle Network at McLeod Children's Hospital, and five winners are expected to receive up to $2,500 each. A silent auction for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society holds more than 100 items in the tent beside the main stage.
The show carries no rain date. The 2028 dates are March 16, 17 and 18.
