Esri FedGIS runs February 9 and 10, 2027 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, 801 Allen Y. Lew Place NW, Washington, DC 20001. The closing day is a Wednesday.
The conference page carries both dates and no session clock. A delegate who returns a hotel key on the morning of February 10 and flies out that evening needs a desk, a network and a shower for the hours between. A day-use room covers that window.
Esri answers scheduling questions on 1-888-377-4576 and at confregis@esri.com. Confirm the closing hour before the room is booked.
The lab supplies the work
The Hands-On Learning Lab offers no-cost training for conference attendees. Lessons run 45 minutes and are self-paced. They cover desktop, server and online GIS topics. Three lessons fill two and a quarter hours.
The conference page also lists plenary and keynote sessions, professional development sessions, an expo and a set of specialized programs. The programs cover AI and GIS, conservation and environment, geospatial data ecosystems and foundational data management, imagery and remote sensing, indoor mapping, oceans and weather, and safety and security. The formats are special interest group meetings, symposiums and an AI Spotlight Session.
What the building provides
Events DC lists more than 700,000 square feet for exhibiting and 77 meeting rooms. The venue FAQ states that complimentary Wi-Fi runs across the entire facility at 768 kBps download and 768 kBps upload.
Green and Yellow line trains stop at Mt. Vernon Square/Convention Center. The station entrance sits on the southwest corner of 7th and M Street NW, with entrances leading directly into the building. The Center holds no public parking. More than 3,000 spaces sit within a three-block radius in surface lots and garages.
The four windows
hotelslots.org sells four windows: Morning 6am to 12pm, Afternoon 12pm to 6pm, Evening 6pm to 12am and Overnight 12am to 6am. The platform charges no booking fee. The guest pays the hotel directly.
dayuse.com listed 20 priced cards on its Washington page on 23 October 2026. All-in rates averaged $105.90 and ran from $75 to $169. Seven cards sat in a District neighbourhood and averaged $125.71. The AC Hotel Washington DC Convention Center carried $104 all-in, $5 of which is a booking fee, with windows at 8am to 2pm, 10am to 5pm and 1pm to 7pm. Rates move between reads. Re-check the card on the day of booking.
Booking order
Book the flight before the room. An evening departure leaves the afternoon window usable.
Four steps work. Take the lab lesson before the hotel checkout hour. Move to the day room at the start of its window and take the calls there. Walk the expo floor for its closing hour. Leave the key at the desk and take the Green or Yellow line toward the airport.
Ask the property two questions at booking. Whether the window can start before the overnight checkout hour. Whether the key covers a late-afternoon exit. Neither answer appears on a listing page.
A same-evening departure buys four to six hours of covered space. Price that window against the airfare difference before the booking.
