Day rooms for a 10 a.m. Dallas Home Show open

Centennial Hall holds the Dallas Home Show on Saturday, January 23 and Sunday, January 24, 2027. The organiser's clock reads 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Fair Park opens its gates at 6 a.m. and closes them at 10 p.m. That leaves four hours between the gate and the doors on either morning.

The hall in printed numbers

Fair Park calls Centennial Hall its largest exhibit hall and publishes the specifications. Total space runs 90,000 sq. ft. The ceiling measures 18 feet 4 inches to the beam and 32 feet 6 inches to the ceiling. Reception capacity reads 6,300 attendees and banquet capacity reads 5,260 on 60-inch rounds. Booth capacity reads 529 at 8 by 10 feet and 423 at 10 by 10 feet.

The building opened in 1905 as the first steel and masonry exhibition building on the fairgrounds. Dahl's 1936 renovation added a pair of Carlo Ciampaglia murals under each portico, sculptures by Pierre Bourdelle and Raoul Josset in front of each portico, and Bourdelle bas reliefs. The 1999 upgrades included a new floor plan. Guests enter from Gates 2 and 3, and parking sits next to the building beside the Esplanade Fountain.

A desk and a shower before the doors

A flyer landing at DFW on a show morning can hold a day room from 8 a.m., work until 9:30, and reach the hall for the 10 a.m. open. The gate closes at 10 p.m., so an evening slot on the same day covers the Saturday close at 8 p.m. and the Sunday close at 5 p.m.

Dayuse listed 20 priced Dallas cards on 22 October 2026. The all-in rates ran $61 to $230, the booking fees ran $5 to $10, and the mean came to $95.30.

Home2 Suites by Hilton Dallas Downtown at Baylor Scott & White, 3301 Gaston Avenue, carries $102 all-in with $7 of that a booking fee. Its windows run 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. The address sits 1.22 miles on a straight line from Centennial Hall. The park's Where to Stay page lists the same property among the hotels inside three miles.

Three more cards sit inside three miles. Hotel Crescent Court carries $230 all-in on a 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. window, 2.52 miles out. Hyatt Regency Dallas carries $160 on a 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. window at 2.72 miles. The Stoneleigh, Autograph Collection, carries $168 on a 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. window at 2.79 miles. Each of the three adds a $10 booking fee to its room rate.

The 8 a.m. window starts two hours before the doors and runs to mid-afternoon. The 10 a.m. window opens with the show. The 5 p.m. window covers the Saturday close and the Sunday close.

What a slot includes

hotelSlots sells four slots: Morning 6AM-12PM, Afternoon 12PM-6PM, Evening 6PM-12AM and Overnight 12AM-6AM. The platform counts 103,857+ hotels across 46 states and publishes rates 30-75% below nightly rates with $0 in fees. Florida, Hawaii, Iowa and Washington restrict day-use bookings under state travel laws. Texas sits outside that group.

The Morning slot covers the four hours before the doors. The 8 a.m. check-in on a Dayuse card fits inside it.

Parry Avenue and the park gate

The Directions page routes DART Green Line riders to Fair Park Station on Parry Avenue at the fairgrounds entrance, and to MLK, Jr. Station south of Robert B. Cullum Blvd. at Gate 6. The same page states that the Denton County A-train does not operate on Sunday. That bears on the January 24 show day.

The FAQ sets park hours at 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. through gates 5 and 6. The parking page counts more than 14,000 spaces inside the park, reports no designated area for buses, RVs or trucks, and places rideshare pickup and drop-off at any gate. General parking is free on non-event days. Event parking prices sit on the event page, which prints none.

Overnight parking is barred. A vehicle left overnight is subject to towing at the owner's expense.

Wi-Fi sits on the room bill

The FAQ answers the Wi-Fi question in one line: there is no public Wi-Fi at Fair Park. The desk, the internet and the shower come with the room. The FAQ also reports 24/7 security and a 10 mph limit on vehicles inside the park.

The figures to carry into the booking

Doors open at 10 a.m. on January 23 and 24, 2027, in a 90,000 sq. ft. hall. Saturday closes at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 5 p.m. The gate runs 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. The nearest priced day room on the 22 October read sits 1.22 miles from the hall at $102 all-in, with an 8 a.m. start against the 10 a.m. doors. Admission costs $10 at the door. A free pass claimed online admits the holder and their guests.
