What a $150 one-day badge buys

The National League of Cities holds City Summit 2026 at Music City Center, 201 Rep. John Lewis Way S, Nashville. Regular programming runs Thursday 19 November through Saturday 21 November 2026, with pre-conference activities on Wednesday 18 November. Every published time is Central Standard Time.

NLC publishes a Tennessee One-Day rate of $150 under its special attendee conference rates. The full conference carries a ladder that climbs with the date, from the Early Bird band to the Onsite band that runs 17 to 21 November. A single day is the cheap route into the building for a reader with one working day to give.

The rates page adds a group rule. Five paid registrations earn a sixth complimentary registration, provided all five register at the same time and pay in full. Spouse or guest, student, youth chaperone and youth delegate categories are excluded.

The registration desk sets the working day

The schedule at a glance publishes the desk hours by date. Tuesday 17 November: 3 to 5 PM. Wednesday 18 November: 7 AM to 3 PM. Thursday 19 November: 7 AM to 5:30 PM. Friday 20 November: 7 AM to 5:30 PM. Saturday 21 November: 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

Badge pickup on the two full days opens at 7 AM and closes at 5:30 PM. Those are the hours a day room has to answer to. No card on the Nashville day-use read opens a window at 7:00 inside downtown. The closest 7:00 start sits 3.62 straight-line miles out at Best Western Plus Executive Residency Nashville, which sells 7:00 to 14:00 at $66 with a $6 fee inside. The earliest downtown-adjacent start is 8:00 at Hampton Inn Nashville / Vanderbilt, 1.19 miles from Music City Center, at $85 with a $6 fee.

A $279 double against a $115 day room

NLC publishes single and double rates for 17 properties in its official block. Motto by Hilton Nashville Downtown at 311 3rd Ave S holds $279 single and $279 double. Sheraton Grand Nashville Downtown at 623 Union St holds $279 and $279. Residence Inn Nashville Downtown at 410 Rep. John Lewis Way S holds $299 and $299. The Omni Nashville Hotel at 250 Rep. John Lewis Way S is the headquarters hotel at $329 and $329.

Those are nightly rates for a bed held across the conference. A day room sells hours instead. Dayuse listed 20 Nashville properties with day rates on 25 October 2026, from $66 to $170, averaging $97.80, with the booking fee inside each fee-inclusive rate quoted here.

Holiday Inn Express Nashville Downtown-Broadway sells 10:00 to 17:00 at $115 with a $5 fee inside, 0.35 straight-line miles from the Music City Center pin. Best Western Plus Music Row sells 10:00 to 18:00 at $112 with a $7 fee, 0.71 miles out. Waymore's Guest House sells 9:00 to 17:00 at $107 with a $7 fee, 1.75 miles out.

The arithmetic is plain. A $150 badge and the $115 seven-hour room total $265, and the night stays open. The same badge against a $279 double totals $429. A reader who needs a bed takes the $279 block rate. The day room serves a working desk.

The expo window is narrow

The Expo Hall opens Thursday 10 AM to 1:15 PM and again 3 to 5 PM. Friday it opens 10 AM to 1:30 PM. Saturday carries no expo hours on the published grid.

The main-room programme fills the rest. Thursday runs the Opening General Session from 1:15 to 3 PM and the Expo Hall Reception from 5 to 7 PM. Friday runs the Afternoon General Session from 3:15 to 4:45 PM, then Get Engaged from 4:45 to 5:45 PM. Saturday closes with the Closing General Session and Luncheon from 12:30 to 2:15 PM, the NLC Annual Business Meeting from 2:30 to 4:30 PM, and the Nashville Host City Closing Event from 7 to 10 PM.

Getting in without a conference shuttle

NLC states that it does not provide an airport shuttle. Rideshare services including Uber and Lyft operate from the Ground Transportation Center on Level 1 of Terminal Garage 2, about five minutes from the Grand Lobby on an ADA-compliant path. Taxis drop off curbside at Departures and pick up in the South Wing Pick-Up Area of the Ground Transportation Center.

The published cab fare is a $9 base plus $2.50 per mile, with a flat $30 for trips to downtown Nashville and to Gaylord Opryland Resort. A second passenger to the same destination adds $2.

Every hotel in the block sits, in NLC's words, within a short distance of Music City Center. The two lowest published rates, Motto and Sheraton Grand, are a $279 double each.

Booking notes

Cancellations go in writing to NLCCS@maritz.com by 26 October 2026 and carry a $125 fee. No cancellations are accepted by phone, and none after that date. Substitutions are permitted at any time. Only Maritz Global Events is authorised to book inside the official block, and NLC asks attendees to report any other housing vendor that makes contact.

hotelSlots lists 222 Nashville hotels on its directory with no rate printed on any card. The platform sends the requested slot to qualifying properties and returns quotes for comparison. Day rates and windows move between reads. Confirm both on the booking day.
