Two Days, Two Shapes
Spirit Celebration Grand Nationals runs December 5 and 6, 2026 at Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas, 650 S Griffin Street. Registration is open on the Varsity Spirit event page. The performance order on that page sorts the divisions into two shapes. Prep, Novice and Rec teams compete Saturday only. Elite teams compete Saturday and Sunday.
A Prep family finishes competition on Saturday and holds a free Sunday morning. An Elite family competes both days. Two households at one event need two different travel plans.
What the Organiser Has Published
The event page carries the dates, the city, the performance order and the bid list. It also carries two holding lines. Under Schedules: 2026 Coming Soon. Under Championship Information: More information coming soon.
No daily door time appears on the Varsity Spirit page or on the convention centre page for either competition day. The convention centre page carries the date block of December 5 to 6 and the room list of Exhibit Halls B and C plus the C Ballroom. Its event-location line adds Ballroom C1 through C4 and the C100 meeting rooms.
Build the Sunday plan from the session order, and confirm the Saturday close with the event contact. Varsity Spirit lists a registration specialist, an event coordinator, a customer experience manager and a scoring specialist on the same page.
The Sunday a Saturday-Only Family Gets Back
A Saturday-only team clears the hall on Saturday evening. Sunday morning sits empty until the drive home.
A day room covers that block. Book a window that opens after the hall clears and runs into the afternoon. The room covers the three things a two-day competition leaves undone: a shower, a place for the bags while the family eats, and a desk with power for the messages that queued up over the weekend.
Every card on the Dayuse Dallas page prices its window below the same property’s nightly rate. The Hyatt Regency card reads $160 against a $290 nightly figure, a 49 percent difference.
Five Cards With a Street Address Near the Hall
Dayuse lists 20 priced properties on its Dallas page. The five below carry a street address on their own Dayuse page and sit inside four miles of 650 S Griffin Street. Rates, comparison figures and windows are the card values read at 21:05 UTC on 22 October 2026. Distances are straight-line from the convention centre address.
Comfort Inn & Suites Dallas Medical-Market Center, 1521 Inwood Road, 75247. Day rate $71 against $97, 33 percent off, a $6 booking fee. Three windows: 08:00 to 16:00, 10:00 to 18:00 and 12:00 to 20:00. 3.79 miles.

Two checks belong beside those five. The hotelSlots Dallas directory lists 790 hotels and shows 24 cards to a page. Comfort Inn & Suites Dallas Medical-Market Center appears in that directory at 1521 Inwood Road. One card on the Dayuse page, Embassy Suites Dallas Market Center, is breadcrumbed to Los Angeles.
The Dallas card set redraws between reads. The figures above come from the 22 October read, and the card is the only current price.
What the Hall Provides
Free Wi-Fi runs in all common areas and meeting rooms, on a network named Free Internet. The building is cashless, with ATMs at Level 2, A Lobby and Level 2, C Lobby. The building holds no on-site business center. The Omni Dallas next door holds a UPS Business Center.
The amenities page lists no locker, no bag check, no coat check and no storage service. Carry the bag you brought, or leave it in the room you booked.
Parking and the Drop-Off
The on-site garage costs $20 at Memorial Drive and S Griffin Street, with two levels and 1,200 spots. Lot C costs $17 at 502 S Lamar Street, with 170 spots. The venue prices both per day, per entry, with no in and out. Both are first-come, first-served.
The rideshare point is the Lower C Driveway between Lamar and Griffin Streets.
The no-in-and-out rule decides the parking maths. A driver who leaves the hall for a day room and returns pays the garage entry twice, which puts the garage plus a $71 room at $111.
Booking the Window
hotelslots.org sells four slots: Morning 6am to 12pm, Afternoon 12pm to 6pm, Evening 6pm to 12am, and Overnight 12am to 6am. The platform states 103,857 hotels across 46 states, rates 30 to 75 percent below the nightly figure, and no fees.
Its day-use page states that pool, gym, Wi-Fi and shower access are included. Its short-stay guide states that those extras can vary by property. Confirm the amenity list on the specific listing.
The Dayuse cards behind the prices above show a booking fee of $5 to $10, and hotelSlots states that you pay the hotel directly.
Confirm Before You Pay
Ask the property three questions. What hour does the window open. What hour does the key go back. Can the bag stay at the desk after the window ends.
Re-check the card on the morning you book, and price the window against the Saturday close the organiser confirms.
